Dropping Gold

So how do I take some gold out of my inventory and put it on the ground?

I can give it to a PC but can't drop it or put it on a chest etc.
PCs: NWN1: Trailyn "Wayfarer" Krast, Nashkel hayseed

NWN2: ??

You can't. You can only transfer gold through the barter window, or using the DM tools to add/remove it.
