TSM Beta 2 goals

Post by Rick7475 »

I would like to start moving to get TSM to beta 2.

Here are the goals I forsee as the goals for beta 2:

1: All exterior areas stabilized and triggers for the "travel Map" and "Local map" identified as well as a working travel area encounter system.

2: Indio's quests all updated as well as his NPC's and bugs fixed.

3: Silverymoon exteriors touched up, as well as NPC's added and at least a dozen interiors (or at least the base entrance for the larger interiors) with map pins for every working interior.

This should do it for beta 2.

Beta Two

Mod Requirements: content added to Core areas (non-hostile spawns, merchants, some scripted static quests); OOC areas (morgue, starting area and merchants) in place; some non-core Live areas included; mod available for regular, announced, testing by DM-run sessions; ACR (and any related global scripts) to be fully incorporated.
Looks like you've covered most of that, Rick. Can I get confirmation on the status of the OOC areas?
Team Requirements: DM team begin training and preparing for Live NWN2 DMing, including DM101.
I'll need an up-to-date list of names of everyone you know of that is interested in Live DMing on TSF. When we've got that and talked it over, we can also take a look at others who may also be interested.
Review: Infra Admin tests host connection; Standards Team conduct ongoing review of server content based on player-testing feedback - focussing on merchants and scripted static quests - providing feedback to Server Team indicating any areas of concern; Tech Admin confirms use of global scripts.
Do we have any progress on the hosting solution we've previously discussed? Also, we will need a copy of the review sheet updated to reflect stores, static content, and quests.

OOC areas are in and seems to be working according to the testors thus far.

The live DM'ing list is basically unchanged. When we get closer to live then I think I'll get more specific.

Hosting is still going to be with angel_caller as far as I know.

I actually don't have a sheet with the original statics, quests, stores, etc, maybe Indio does.

Now, one thing I will have difficulty with is checking all the merchants for standards in pricing. I think I'd like help on this, and what I suggest is having someone from the standards group with toolset excperience go through the mod, particularily the merchants, and correct things on the fly, documenting what was changed.

It is a coordination nightmare to do everything at once, particularily when I have 8 - 10 builders and casual builders addin g interiors and merchants.

If we had a standards person go through and make the corrections, it would save a lot of time.

OK, just want to let you know I am going to move on beta 2 status in the next few days.

Wynna is hopefully going to hand off the Mage college which will give us a good fleshing of Silverymoon.

I am going to give a version of the city with interiors connected, guard NPC's, and some merchants in the market.

I want to move on this. I am losing interior builders left and right.

The revised goal is to have TSM live with what we can with Silverymoon and add things as we progress in live.

I am going to concentrate on interiors, NPC's and a few quests I will design with Silverymoon, and that is taking most of my time.

I believe we have most of what we need for beta 2.

I just wanted to thank those builders that have contributed, and several that have come forward to say they are willing to do more and are on track with their great interiors.

Once we add a few more, hopefully in the next day or two, and I have fixed the links and added a few merchants, we should be ready for beta 2. We have quests, quite a few, and many more with Wynna's work, so we will have a good deal of content for beta 2.

Once we are at beta 2, I plan on adding quests to Silverymoon and Rauvinwatch keep. Once these quests are done, we move to beta 3.

I'm squishing bugs as fast as I can. I'm still hoping for tonight, but if it's tomorrow, I hope that doesn't 'bug' anybody. *snicker
Enjoy the game
