There's a comp open till the end of March that I've been contemplating entering, but it relies on a couple of as yet indeterminate factores.
1. Is ALFA prepared to release a version of its hak to the vault.
2. Is ALFA prepared to release 3 of my exteriors to the NWN community.
Both of these conditions need to be met for this to happen.
The prize is a TripleHead 2 Go, monitor linking device, for which I have no use, so I was thinking Hialmar might be able to flog it off on ebay for some donation cash if we win.
The 3 areas would be:
1. Silverymoon
2. Skullport
3. Fouthpeak
Obviously the competition will bring out some of the best NWN2 builders, some of whom will most certainly be a lot better than me. That said, I may be in with a shot given the criteria are aesthetical beauty and use of space.
As such, the use of this comp to ALFA is exposure. The areas will certainly be viewed by lots of people, and all will have ALFA's name in them.
Thoughts?

I certainly don't see any problems with releasing our haks- indeed, the contents of the alfa_acr.hak are opensourced, on sourceforge, and the alfa_gui.hak will be distributed publically along with the OAS2 PWC by the 1st if we keep to schedule.
I'm not sure the exact nature of the contest, but I would suggest if the module is to be downloaded and reviewed by others, that it might be worth stripping out the ACR, since it requires extra layers of trouble to whomever is testing (needing NWNx4 and MySQL databases to run properly). Unless, of course, the scripted systems and such would be of benefit to the module in terms of the contest itself.
Silverymoon exterior may need a bit of polishing as well, it's still got a few floating buildings and wayward walkmesh cutters around.
