FR Canon songs and poems

Hi everyone,
1. I am looking for canon songs and poems for my bard.
So far I've found only 'Wind by the Fireside' in Volos Guide to the North.
I know my bard can basically sing any song/poem but I want to exhaust the canon sources first.
Any ideas, suggestions, links, source material?
2. Also wondering if the 'Dwarf and Orc' song in Alfa's movie section comes from a canon source or was it something that 'bartleby' wrote himself?
Thanks,
Ael

This is a good question, something I've wondered as well.
I've encountered songs, stories and poems scattered through a variety of sources but haven't yet run into any kind of compendium.

I don't have full song to give you, but some of the Myth Drannor sources does detail the topic matter of many songs that remain in the bard repetoire today. From the fall of myth drannor, to the tankardswar (where 4 bard held off 3 waves of orcs, from atop the bar in the blue lute tavern, with only magic, their feet and dozens of hurled tankards for weapons)
a few more topics of interest, but my suggestion would to be simply find source material and write songs about the stories therein.

I guess what I am looking for is a few songs that might be known throughout the realms or specific to certain geographical regions....songs other PCs would know because they are common knowledge and have grown up hearing them their whole lives.
Although creativity may be well received in places of high society and learning (an upper class Waterdhavian theater) a well-known, well-loved song will have a better chance at being enjoyed by all types of audiences - even those poor farming illiterate types in Daggerdale

.
For example: in RL if I were in the US and make up a song about patriotism that was well written and well sung - it may be well received by people who appreciate music or have some knowledge about music...whereas if I sang something that everyone knows, like the National Anthem, and sang it well, then it would have a better chance of reaching people from all walks of life - including someone who has no learning, musical or otherwise.
Like you said Halrin - I could always make my own song up and RP it as being well known and well loved by all ....
"Hello folks - now for a song you've all sung since you were little munchkins - The National Anthem of Cormyr!"
- I just think I shouldnt presume the DM will go along if I havent at first exhausted any possible canon resources of known songs and poems.
Thanks again!

This gives song titles and maybe a starting point if you want to try and google them.

There are a few in the Volo guides. His guide to Waterdeep has at least one
