Getting around Silvermoon

Any suggestions for getting around the server as a 1st level pc? I've been in Silvermoon for a week now and I'm having a hard time finding many people to interact with.

Is there a place where everyone congregates now?

Is asking a DM to port you via a 'caravan' or boat for a fee to where the other players are out of line?

The server detail is fantastic, and the questing and scripting are great, but I'm finding myself very cut off from the other players.

Thanks,

Regas

Used to be Rivermoot... probably because all the low level quests are there. Seems that High Hold is the place to be these days. Not so many people in Rivermoot anymore that I can see.

High Hold is a rather central location for the server - between Rivermoot and Silverymoon and you can shoot off north to Quervarr and Winter's Edge. Definitely the place to hang out.

There a re a few static quests in silverymoon that a low level character can benifit from, just try to talk to everyone and in sure you will come across something. We wary though, the people offering the quests dont care what level you are, if it sounds too dangerous then it probably is.

Currently my pc is out of town but i do spend a lot of time in Silverymoon, depending on what time zone you are in i may see you soon.

Rivermoot is not dead, it's just summering in New Jersey. But seriously, there is a nice group of players/characters based in and around Rivermoot, despite the heating up of things around High Hold. IC reasons have kept a certain player group there for the forseeable future, until an ongoing plot is brought to a conclusion. We'd be happy to see fresh faces.

I'm a new player and should be on the way soon. I'll keep an eye out for these meeting places.
