Deep Halls is Final

Deep Halls is final as of today, and I'd like to see us embrace the foremost NWN2 hak that exists so builders can benefit from it immediately. If you haven't used it you really must for an authentic dungeon experience.

It's 11 MB, has been well maintained for several months, has had many bugs ironed out, and has caused no problems in my toolset in the weeks I've been using it.

It's the best interior tileset (by far imo) and is just the sort of hak that will enable dungeon builders to feel like they've got a toolset worthy of the task.

It is perfect for nearly any situation and quite agree with Indio ;)

Just to point out it has many limitations in tile selection. While it is good for smaller dungeons and sewer systems, I find that I cannot use it exclusively for the complex sewer system of WD.

First off, angling is a big issue. The Shadow Fortress tiles can be used at 45 degree angles, which fit the WD map well. However, these sewer tiles lack that and I cannot use them extensively.

They also have a distinct lack of variety, but that may be addressed in the future.

Currently for WD, unless there are more tiles added, I will be using the Shadow Fortress for the main sewer channels (which are generally maintained by the city and would reflect this anyway) and the sewer haks for less used older channels (single width with no angling).

I found the sewer set to be very bad it looks like someone cleans it daily for a start!!

Anyway im NOT using it now :)

I'm using the Shadow Fortress tileset for major interiors too Rick. But for dungeons there's nothing better than Dwarf Halls until they get some interiors with pits, chasms and stairs.

Personally, I prefer the minimalist approach when it comes to tile creation. Just give builders the base tileset and let them dress things up as befits the setting.

That's great if you have the equipment to dress it up. Unfortunately, when it comes to garbage to dirty up a tileset, there's next to nothing.

I'm hoping for something like the blood splatters, only dirt instead of blood.

I'm hoping for that as well. It'll come eventually, at which point we can apply more polish! It's better than being stuck with something you don't want on your tiles and can't change. For me, anyway.

Oh, I definitely agree. That's one of the things I love about NWN2 tilesets, there's no crap attached to the tiles.
