Scroll Creation

Post by Riotnrrd »

Hi folks, quick question;

I'd like to be able to create a scroll with varying caster levels. For instance, endure elements, 1st level, 1st caster level. It appears that there are limited properties that can be assigned to a scroll item.

Is this something I should be able to do? I havent set up an ALFA module yet, just looking in basic toolset... but it appears the caster level for most spell effects is somewhat limited, either only one option, or a small range (ie caster level 5,10,15, but nothing in between).

Thanks!

If NWN2 vanilla or even with ALFA's haks can't achieve that, well, maybe something of Zelknolf's tricks which were used in NWN1 ALFA haks could port over. Variable caster levels for everything (not just scrolls), via careful use of tags which her scripts relied upon to say "I should cast this as if a level 3 bard cast it" etc. That is, not only level was addressed, but character class, as some spells exist on more than one class's list, and DCs can all tie to that.

Damned if I know what that does to any naming schemes we might be following though (unless the schemes just apply to resrefs and not tags?)
ALFA NWN2 PCs: Rhaggot of the Bruised-Eye, and Bamshogbo
ALFA NWN1 PC: Jacobim Foxmantle
ALFA NWN1 Dead PC: Jon Shieldjack
