Darkside up, inside out...

Just curious if anyone has any experience with the following...

A. Placing exterior ground into an interior. (I am assuming you'd want to make the area an exterior instead of an interior, then lay down interior tiles, yes?)

B. Veiwing exteriors from interiors. (Ie. looking out of a large opening in a building to the land around said building, will I need to create an exterior for this effect as well, or do we have any shadowbox effects for windows like we do in NWN1 for NWN2 yet? Note also that the openings are not on a ground floor, but are in the air, the best way to acheive a dropoff?)

Any input is appreciated.

I don't understand yet what you're asking, but the simple rule is tiles won't work in exteriors and exteriors can't be painted on an interior.

But clarify what you're asking for me and maybe I can actually help rather than postulate.

I think he wants windows that you can look through and see scenery outside them. In this case maybe an interior window that you look through and see the courtyard outside or something.

heegz is correct....I want a feel of looking out from a "window" into the outside world...

The House Invincible however, only has two "windows", one on the front side 2nd story above the door, and one on the backside 2nd story as well... Both are seen as having bars if veiwed from the exterior. Interior however, this barred section actually takes up a whole room...I was planning on making this a sort of catapult room for both front and backside...having the iron bars actually roll to the side with the use of a trigger so that these openings are actually for the defense of the Temple.

What I am asking for this is, A. How do I replicate a feeling of looking out of this opening into the actual city?

B. How do I replicate the opening being on the 2nd floor?

As for getting exteriors into an interior, I had planned for a garden within the Temple itself for it's monk residents. The order of Helm Monks I found are scouts, and usually multiclassed in ranger..so I wanted to give them a place besides the tower I've dedicated to them for them to hang out. I'll experiment and see what I can come up with if no one has any suggestions.
