Toolset help for n00bs (ie. me)
Okay, two questions right off the bat.
(1) I can't seem to open the toolset at all. Every time I try it... well, it doesn't open. Will try reinstall NWN2 if no one else has any suggestions.
(2) Daniel in parituclar, what plugins do you use for interior building?

Seems I might have solved 1. Found a helpful thread on the BW forums. But question 2 still stands

Re: Toolset help for n00bs (ie. me)
I use only one plugin, for making items. I've tried various other plugins for exteriors but never ended up using them for long. I've never used a plugin for an interior, and would be curious to find out if anyone does. I'll have to check the NWvault and see what's available now.

Re: Toolset help for n00bs (ie. me)
I do not use any plugins when I toolset. I understand YATT is very popular with the more artistic crowd for making beautiful exteriors with nice blended terrain and textures; but the only interior plugin I've heard of is the NWmapper or something similar; and that one doesn't take into account our extra custom tilesets (RWS Deep Sewers, Deep Halls, Deep Chasms, pocket cathedrals, tower rooms, etc).
You will need to use a few override 2das if you want to place custom tiles in new areas, as well. These are linked in this forum, and aren't needed for anything else in the toolset currently. They should also be removed before updating NWN2 or building/playing in other PWs.

Are you referring to this comment:AcadiusLost wrote:You will need to use a few override 2das if you want to place custom tiles in new areas, as well. Perhaps we can update that sticky, or lock it and create a new one. My preference would be to have a simple guide posted on the original post. As far as I can tell, what you are saying is that a person simply needs to import all the ALFA haks, and those overrides in order to start building now?

Rotty, I use no pluggins at all.
Let me know if you need further assistance in interior builds. I don't know anything about exterior building, but my interior skills are increasing by the week.

Re: Toolset help for n00bs (ie. me)
I use nwn2mapper for interiors.
It will help you laying down interios quite fast.
Altough not all tilesets are supported.

The original nwn2mapper is no longer supported (v1.03) however I found an updated version here:peterdin wrote:I use nwn2mapper for interiors.

I'm gonna download it and give it a try. Thanks for the heads up peterdin!

Nice job on the temple RTK! One aesthetic suggestion to change the flourescent spraypaint green color to a more realistic tone of green.
If all the benches are usable (with the sit script) the area might not bake correctly because they are positioned very closely together. You might choose just two or three key benches as usable and turn the rest to environmental. After you bake and see what you got you could then try using the walkmesh cutter to limit the walkable space a bit so people arent walking thru the benches. You could also just place two rows of benches with a wider middle aisle and still select only a couple (first and last row?) as sittable benches.
In my little time as a new player in Silvy I've noticed there are alot of chairs that are clickable but there is no room to actually get in front of them and sit down. Case in point the Bright Blades Tavern where 90% of the chairs and benches can't actually be sat in because they are too close to the tables. Here I suppose beauty takes precedence over functionality. As a builder it is often hard to balance the two.
