I have a question about tree seeds

5 max recomended, which I always assumed mean 5 maximum models (different types of trees), or different seed numbers

If, for example I get 5 different types of tree, and use the same seed number for each tree, is that 5 seeds, (number of tree models), or 1 seed (number) ?

What about 5 different types of tree with five different seed numbers for 5 models of each tree? Is that still only 5 seeds (being the 5 seed numbers)

Is it the different seed numbers that count, or the different tree models used, or both, being five tree models with five tree seeds for each is 25 seeds?

First what is a "tree seed." Second what do you mean to do with them?

Third, what the heck is a tree seed for?

No more than five unique seed codes, total, but any number of duplications (within reason). Mined ewe, I've used dozens of unique plant seeds before and never experienced any performance issues.

Something like that anyway. I've never really paid much heed to those 'warnings'*; if it runs okay then everything's fine.

* Apart from omni light placements per grid sector - they start to switch off randomly when there's too many. That warning I did listen too.

Tree Seed - the number that the random tree generator uses to determine the shape of your speed tree in NWN2, Different tree seed. different shaped tree.

I've read that as long as shadows are turned off for trees ( except those of thematic value) then the hit is a lot less, so more than 5 seeds can be used. I'm going to put an orchard in Quaervarr, so I'll see if this has an effect.
