Toolset Weirdness: Tiles not tinting/customizing?

So I don't know why but toolset will suddenly stop showing the tints or the texture changes I make (like walls and floors). It is very frustrating as it comes and goes.

Any help how to make this stop?

And my other question is I keep seeing tiles with inset windows. They are part of the tile but for the life of me I can't find the tiles with windows on them. I checked the file name and tried them all out.

I might not be looking in the right place. I also can't find any inset windows in the toolset placeables either, just some castle stuff.

Throw me a bone here? thanks.

Cloud,
Many tiles have several variations. If you select a tile and put the cursor over the area you're working on and use the up and down arrow keys it should step through the different possible choices. Walls in the Estate tileset have at least half a dozen different combinations of columns and windows.

omg..no way *smacks head*

All my interiors are made with the default tiles. This is SO embarrassing when I could have had varations..the whole time ARGH! Ever single area i've made needed windows and I just had no idea. Gah I need to fix them ALL!

Thank you Teric.

Just look at it as a major hak update with lots of cool new stuff :)

A lot of the community-made tilesets we use like Dwarf or Deep Caverns have huge numbers of variations for some tiles and are almost unusable if you don't know they're there.

Another little tip I stole from the OC if you're using windows is to put the "dust" placed effect in front of the window to look like sunlight coming into the room.
