Hello from Lokan

Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I am Lokan, and I have just been accepted into your community!! I will of course put out a better get-to-know me post, but for now I would like to just say hello, and say that I am grateful to be here. I will be spending some time putting together all of the file work that goes into getting the in-game started. I think i am pretty well read on the rules and play style, and community so once everything is up and running, Ill be ready.

I have run into a few tech problems, and I hope to work them out, but can someone tell me if the Baldur's Game server is running? I have been able to connect with the Silver marches, but i was not able to connect with BG. I have had a few scary file problems, I may still have them but I have loaded both expansions and run the worldgate updater, and loaded the latest patch. So, right now I am at a loss. I may have had a bad download of SoZ, because I have seen the patcher give me an error about a missing batch of files, but I pushed the update through, and i worked, so i am hoping it fixed itself. I would rather try to see if there was anything else wrong before I tryed to reinstall SoZ... if anyone has any advice I will need it, Thank you.

I have heard about some log in issues on BG of late, and it's possible you may be sharing that unfortunate bug . Thanks to Acadius Lost, we don't use worldgate anymore. When you log onto a server, there is a program that will check your files and update you automatically before you go IG.

It is a vast improvement and keeps all PC's current on server. The best place to post technical problems is in the Technical Helpdesk thread. It is monitored by some of our "best and brightest" and you are reasonably assured of getting some thoughtful and accurate responses to issues, rather than the idle, speculative disinformation I dispense on tech issues

It's worth trying Baldur's Gate again tonight or at next opportunity, last night I adjusted a few things with some of the troublesome areas there.

Also note that there is a new game version out you'll need to update to.
