Soloing in Alfa is not very fun. We designed our worlds to have an affinity with traditional D&D party play. So Alfa is much more fun if you have a party and quests/exploration is safer and more achievable.

So don't be afraid to ask dms if they have room for your characters. Sometimes there will be room. Other times you might catch them right in the middle or the end of something. Either way, we want to make your Alfa experience as fun as possible (once we solve any tech issues you might encounter.)

If you cannot see it, this is due to the access problem you mentioned earlier. You may also download an IRC client (like I and others have) and connect that way instead.

Awesome and welcome very much. There are those who still enjoy this place as a persistent world - as it was originally designed! I.e. The good ol'days... Just be careful and ask questions in game tells anytime, cheers!

Welcome to ALFA - ALFA can have rather steep learning curve at the beginning, and I am not talking about NWN2 game mechanics, but just the rules, cutlure and traditions of ALFA as a whole - don't give up on it! ALFA provides a role-play experience that just isn't available anywhere else. It takes time to find out how to take advantage of that experience and use it though. Good luck!
