New girl (or old lady depending on your perspective) checking in. I've been lurking on the forums for a day or two and saw magnificent, well-thought out stories that made me very intrigued to make an account here. So hello.

I'm from Europe Central, currently living in Belgium, turning 24 in a week or two. I've mostly played NWN1 and barely touched my NWN2 for a few small reasons - but there's always a first, hm? Hopefully I can get the controls right again.

I've a few character concepts swimming around in my head and am looking forward to testing the waters with one of them. For now I'm waiting for approval of my application - and that's just fine by me. I'd probably need a decade before I decide what I'd like to play anyway!

Lots of us (especially the old folk) had a hard time transitioning from NWN1 to NWN2 but don't worry.... twitch skills aren't what ALFA is all about.

If you buy the game, make sure you buy the absolutely newest version with all the updates. We are still glad to guide you through a more complex installation or help you with getting Skywing Client.

Skywing Client provides stability to the NWN2 game and it restores the Multiplayer Menu section. Just check in #alfa-tech on our IRC chat room if you need any help. Just click on IRC chat on the left side bar of the main web page and type "/j #alfa-tech"

Thanks everyone. Sound advice in your posts and I feel welcome already! I did my best to read the ALFA guidelines... but I probably missed some still and I wonder what you mean Kiyoti - second character, as in the one I'll need to make after the inevitably quick death of my first one, or do you mean something else? In any case: BG. Noted!

Unfortunately JJ I'm not from London (though I just spent a three day vacation there... Englishmen are so friendly), however, I live just across the Channel, in Belgium the kingdom of waffles and chocolate. I actually originate from Hungary and moved to Belgium a few years ago.

Dwarves are fun, but so can any other standard race be - as long as you can make their personalities as rounded as their bellies! (Well, in the dwarves' case. I've yet to see a chubby elf...)

And I don't actually watch the show Copper: first time I hear of it. What would you say you like about it most?

uhmn. its kinda dark, brutal, clever and rawr:y (if your into history and dirty dirty 17th century costumes) ive just watched 2 episodes yet. as of now and 2 eps in, i can recommend it
