A small service was held for Arronal with the Tormtar assisting HIgh Priest Ra of Kelevmor and speaking some words of blessing over the man who died undertaking his willing duty to protect the town.

The young soldier also gave Arronal's wife a good sum of gold to secure her and her child after the loss of her ..."dutiful and courageous husband of whom you should be proud m'lady".

The young soldier was left suprised and chargined as the woman walked away almost bouncuing the large purse on her hand and muttering about the dead man at least being good for something finally....

There are rumors that the temples are in some kind of argument. Earlier in the day a group of Helmites scrapped with a group of Dawnbringers outside the temple of Mystra. What this means nobody knows but the sermons of the prominent religious clerics are becomming increasingly hostile to "outside" views.

A group of adventurers were drinking and laughing in the golden oak, when one of their number cast a spell causing grease to cover the floor of the atrium. Several were seen to slip and fall repeatedly and become covered with the stuff. One burly warrior was none too amused drawing a heavy blade after the spell faded and splitting a bench in two threatening to do the same to the mage's neck. For her part the mage was visibly drunk. One of her companions managed to calm the scene before any blood was spilled.

A band of wizards, two elves and a gnome, as well as a human wearing light armour and carrying a bow have reported battling a pair of huge giants being in the region of fourthpeak, one with blueish white skin and hair, the other with black skin and fiery red hair, they say that the giants were accompanied by a huge white wolf.

The guards of Settlestone found the entire thing quite amusing, only wishing they'd been able to get in on the action against the giants as their kin in felbarr have been doing for so long.

Other reports indicate that the same band destroyed an ogre clan along the paths of the frost hills, the clan was apparently lead by three ogre magi. There is also indication that one of the elves and the human were both hurt quite badly by at least one blow from an ogre each. The fort of Fourthpeak watches for further signs.

Near High Hold rumour spreads that an elf and a gnome, both warded by a number of spells battled against a Malarite Ambush, neither were hurt but they warned that further attacks are likely before continuing on their way.

Local Rivermoot gossip has it that the ranger Ethan Greymourne and the elf Maeredhel dispatched a large swarm of kobolds in a cave near Dogleg Dell. According to Ethan, they'd burrowed into the cave from somewhere else and that there were a couple orcs with fists tattooed on to their hides. The ranger told Myrtle over a mug of ale that he had never seen so many kobolds in his life and that after he was done finishing his ale, he'd look into the other caves for "surges of buggers."

Maeredhel was seen walking into Rivermoot heavily wounded, leaving a trail of blood back towards the Dogleg. He told the legion that they were pushed back, and that Ethan was keeping an eye on the kobolds while he re-supplied.

Some time later, the elf is seen again walking a back from Dogleg, this time with a smirk on his face and a large sack of weapons on his back. In addition to Ethan's report, he tells the Legion to warn anyone entering the caves of traps. He says he disabled the ones he saw, but the kobolds are sure to make more.

The Knights in Silver have posted a bounty in the marches of 1000gp on suspects wanted for Conspiracy against Luruar, dealing in illicit goods and numerous other crimes. They are wanted alive, with the KiS offering 1000GP per.

Individuals are known as "Cloud of Coins" Roland Bishop, Savrias Creed, Erich Gunnarson, Denna Shota, Bevan Tark.

Many of the merchants are shocked that such esteemed businessmen as Bishop and Creed could be guilty of any crime, the name Roland Bishop has been tripping tongues for some time now...

The numbers of traders and caravans add up in numbers outside Silverymoon and the general attityde is less then a cheery one....

merchant 1: I was stopped by the guards at Hawks nest this morning on my route to Sundabar as agreed with my traders there. They, the damn guards, suggested I turn around if I valued my life and wagon and informed me that last night they had spotted more then 40 giants on or near the road east of the fort.

merchant 2: did you turn around or risked youre load? you had made a deal with Sundabar to have the goods delivered hadnt you? a made deal is a made deal after all

merchant 1: I told the guards stopping me I guess I have to be swift about it then but as they understood my intention was to continue they change attitude and said they had orders to make clear nobody got killed or some such from the giants pestering the area and gave me the option to turn around or be put in custody at hawks nest untill the situation had calmed down.

merchant 2: really? but the giant threat been ongoing for month now.. have the guards and knights not been able to contain it?

merchant 3: they had.. the road been usable with some risk of course for several weeks but I heard the situation turned worse again. Rumors say that the dwarfs up the mountainsides lost one of their lookout towards as hundreds if not more giants stormed up, aparently a spotter to the guards had reported that and 100 giants.. not even a dwarven built wall could stand against that now can it?

merchant 4: I expect it to be blown over soon, whatever the outcome. I did meet with a trader a few days ago who had been up at Felbarr with a load of ore from Baldursgate and he said the dwarf promised him the next trip he make would be a easier one as the region was about to be /handled/ and the giants and others soon realize its best to leave to wherever they came from.

merchant 2: lets hope for that, I lost a fortune allready and could need some decent deals and Sundabar do tend to pay the fairest.....

A priest is preaching about the true lady to the people, spreading a faith unknown to the realms and aiding the weak and the sick.

Already this priest has captured a Sharran alive and dragged him to the prison cells ontop of it!

Persephone walks into the market mid day, armored and wearing the heraldry of a Selunite champion, at her side follows High Moonmistress Shalyssa Lurialar, dressed for the occation, clearly in a show of support. As the pair stops, they almost casual and by no effort adjust their armors and clothes before Persepone unfolds a note and reads aloud:
To Those Who Have Had Past Dealings With the Priest Jacho:

Be it known that Jacho has been removed from the Moonmaiden's church, and the rank he once held in Her house has been removed in kind, for his preaching of the Dark Moon Heresy.

Be it known that the house of Selûne does not, and shall never, condone his philosophy or actions.

I call upon Jacho to repent, atone, and seek absolution for his sins, and warn all others to treat this man with suspicion and avoid dealings with him, for his heresy is one condoned only by the vile goddess Shar.
Once the notice is read, she posts it for all interested to read and returns to the Temple of Silver Stars.

People say they saw a group of clerics battle outside the walls of Silverymoon. They say the clerics represented Tempus, Torm and Selune and that the brawl was fierce, with at least two looking like they were fataly wounded....

A silver shooting star was seen falling towards the Oak after a most violent and unnatural thunderstorm that spat acid rain. Though there are no solid facts of what the 'shooting star' was, many spellguard were seen within the Oak restricting access to more than one room. Within half a day the area was once again open and nobody has any idea what happened. . .some say it is an evil omen that is marking the religious unrest that has been going about. . .

Some large rats were quite agressive estereve, coming forth at dark on the promenade of the North bank of the River. The source of the transient infestation was unclear.

A drunk human male sits next to a gnome bard who been singing and playing for the last three hours covering old storys of the fine and proud city of Silverymoon and Baldurs gate to the crowds booming applauds and shouts of more wine or ale.

-I have a good one for you bard the human studder out.. I bet it could be a song making you famous and it covers recent happenings within the federation.

-the bard looks to him, does this means I have to buy you another mug?

-widely grinning the human nods in reply and pushed his emty mug towards the barkeep... It be worth it, trust me... what Im to tell you is the truth or I not be Greig, the firstborn of my father who was a honorble knight when he lived, bless his soul.. The dwarfs have lost their newest fort *nods to add weight to his word* a grand fort with walls twice the thickness as silverymoons and three times as high... it was believed to hold the vally in all eternity I heard but now its lost and made into ruins

-the bard raise a eyebrow, you talk of the felbarr kings fort.. named after him or some such.. fort of warcrown??

- the same aye.. I heard the knights and militia out at hawksnest pressed all the giants that been pestering the eastern territory for far to many moons out of the lowland and the road towards Sundabar with such force the giants had few options if they wanted to make it out alive, they could back up against Sundabar, or move closer to citadell Felbarr.. both a pretty stupid move I guess so the giants put all on one card.. or boulder... you know they made a sport of hurling boulders on traders and travelers alike along the eastroad to decide who was the strongest, my neighbour got killed by one of them boulders, quick and painless I guess.. anyway.. they decided to face the fortifyed dwarfs up one of the snowfilled vallys north of the road and knowing they could not back down as the knights charged after them they attacked the dwarfs with such a rage the dwarfs could not withstand it....

-the bard blinks and ordered another mug to the human

-believe you me bard.. I havnt seen the vally meself but my siters best friend is married to one of the milita stationed at haks nest and he told the story and he have been up the vally seeing the huge walls of the dwarfs... The giants took the vally and from the remains of the fort they also managed to push the knights and militia back down towards the road... If you go there toady you will see many hundred of boulders spread out the vally and under each is a crushed dwarf. THAT would be worth hearing you sing about *nods to himself again*

-the bard calmly ordered a glass of white wine and turned to the drunk human, my good sir, its not that I not trust youre fine word beeing the first son of a honourble knight but I know to not sing stories of killed dwarfs, be it true or not as they just wont ever forget it and you will never be allowed into any of their halls when up north on a treck.. Which I among others do rather regularly.. no.. it had turned out a fine song but its not for me...

-the human snorts and down his ale in one messy go, then when you hear another bard sing it to the crowds joy remember me

-the bard looked at the human left in a not all to straight line...and then turned as the barkeep spoke out

-first I bet the knights never pushed the giants up against the dwarfs, there was some understanding between the city and felbarr, federation policy or some such and secondly I dont believe a few giants would have a chanse against fortifyed dwarfs but it sure was a good tale Greig told, he sure believed it himself... more wine sir??

-a small glass then, I need get back to my audience...

A wounded halfling arrives to High Hold and reports that a large group of kobolds raided to what seems to be a supplies caravan. The kobolds seemed to have set few ambushes near the great oak and some of them are likely still about. The druids of the great oak hoped to enjoy some peaceful time after recently dealt with a troll problem, but got their hands full of work again with the kobolds attacks. Travelers are warned to be careful when traveling in small numbers near the great oak.
