Nailed to doors across Rivermoot and the main gates for but a moment before guards and commoners noticed it, was this message:

I've been having a great deal of fun myself lately, but I don't want to be the only one. We need to get you all into the game. You'll all hear about the deaths of the poor little farmer family on the way to Rivermoot soon enough so you know I'm for real. If someone from your sleepy little village doesn't kill a traveler passing through within a week, we'll kill a family in town. Have fun. We certainly will.

A symbol of Cyric was drawn in blood on the parchments, but the guards quickly tore them all down under command of Lt. Pomador. Sadly the words have already spread throughout the whole village.

Guards now seem even more on edge then usual, and more seem to be patrolling the area.

Louen Therin, son of Jonas Therin the blind Dragonslayer, was spotted storming into the Rivermoot Inn as if he had a vendetta against the world. He made numerous orders for any alcoholic beverage he could muster before purchasing a room and falling off into a drunken stupor. Witnesses would suggest he was teeming over "caring too much" and kept speaking about "reaping what was sown".

Rumours that orcs somehow gained mastery of a winter wolf and attempted a raid near the orphanage circulate about Rivermoot.

Rathalan Whitsword returned to Rivermoot in haste from Silverymoon, arriving early yestermorn before dawn. He was moving with some unusual agitated urgency and made his way quickly to the Kelemvorite temple seeking Dimetree and Priest Ra. The nature of the request for meeting was not imediately known, although one of the crypt guards thought he heard the mention of "Watchers of the walking dead".

A successful well respected farmer near Silverymoon has been found dead in his home. He appeared to have a dagger wound in his chest and bled out. No one knows how it occurred, and no message or symbols were left behind.

A man was thrown out of a second story window in the Angler's Inn in Rivermoot. His throat was cut from ear to ear, and a symbol of Cyric was carved into his forehead. Neither the Argent Legion or wizards detached with them were able to find the culprit. More Legion soldiers are being dispatched to keep order.

The following message has been posted in many places within the town, constantly being taken down by the guard, but new ones continue to appear.
Well, don't say we are not generous. I'm not quite sure that the man floating down the river was really a traveler a townsperson killed, but I was willing to meet you all half way. So instead of a whole little family, we only killed one person, to make sure you guys understood the severity of your predicament.
But we want to be fair too, and we realize we can't make you kill travelers... After all, their your lifeblood, they keep the gold flowing, and we want you to have happy full lives... So a new game for you, and a new target. One that doesn't have anything to do with your income.

Word among the students of the Lady's College has it that a scholar returned from long-term study exchange with a local transmuter to find his dormitory had been burglarized. He was seen taking the matter up with the Registrar, demanding restitution and the aid of the Divination school in tracking down the offender.

Little is known what the scholar plans to do if and when the culprit is found, but excited rumours among the undergraduates speculate that Mistress Ostelle may receive a new cadaver - if the thief is fortunate.

Sighs of relief run rampant throughout the Silver Marches as it is spread that the mad man cyricist has been caught by students of Jonas Therin, paladin of Lathandar. He is under heavy guard by Spellguard and priests and is thought to be awaiting trial for his crimes.

On a darker note, rumor has it that the Cyricist somehow addled the wits of a priestess of a Lathandar, and she is being held in High Hold until her sanity is recovered.

Subsequent to the capture of the Cyricist, visitors to the orphanage have lately noticed a tall, thin man with dark hair, blue eyes, and a threadbare and soiled green tunic alternately working in the fields during the day and patrolling the hills at night. Though thin and wiry, the man seems quite driven and can be seen working from sunup to sundown.

The High Hold folk may be overheard discussing a strange incident that occurred in the upper floor of the dungeon tower. It seems the hin commonly known as Rugo attacked a large male tiefling outside the cell containing the stricken Lathanderite Dawn Shiningeye. The consensus seems to be that Rugo was beaten senseless easily by the tiefling and then dragged from the tower by a helmed male Tormite. Rugo was later seen meekly following the tiefling and a beautiful hin female out of High Hold keep.

Lt. Pomador can be seen to be agitated, often standing at the end of the Rivermoot bridge, after a fleetfooted black cloaked persona ran past the gates of Rivermoot, with at least four kobalds following closely behind. No one was injured as the guards quickly put down the threat, and it is even said the dwarven Garlus felled one of the beasts from his perch in the watchtower with his crossbow, but Flinn seems non to happy with the circumstances.

The mule-drawn carriage trumbled through Quaervarr then on southward to High Hold. Three men escorted the simple wooden fruit cart. Two were dressed in the battle garb of Helm, blue cloaks with gauntleted chevrons on the shoulders. The third man wore simple gray robes, a silvered chained with scales noting service to Kelemvor, and said a low, monotonous chanting prayer behind the cart as it made its way then East past Rauvinwatch. Covered with simple white cloth and laid out in the back of the cart were the remains of two fallen soldiers. It would not be determined that they were Shield Julicius Brant and Warder Dryant Shiefson until the small procession finally reached The House Invincible in Silverymoon, where the men could be identified by their Phalanx Commander.

Of the nine men that had set out on patrol to Winter's Edge, only the remains of two were recovered.

It is spoken in reverent tones about the House Invincible however, that the ground where the men fell to a terrible death, and undeath, was consecrated in a most holy way by the priests of kelemvor and Helm working in tendem. Some even say that the heavens broke following the righteous prayers and shined forth divine light on the entire grove, signifying the cleansing of the land.
