After arriving at Settlestone, recently promoted Marshall Kadalian (ex of Rivermoot) has taken to instructing the locals to refer to him as "Major Marshall."
He has taken for his personal quarters and offices the abandoned chapel of Berronar Truesilver, the Faenor having returned to Mithril Hall some few years back.
Rumor has that Major Marshall Kadalion has a grand plan to return Settlestone to its prior greatness as an active hub of trade in dwarven goods.
He is said to be pressing the dwarf Grimstahd to ask for more construction aid from Mithril Hall as the village remains in gross disrepair.
Also near the top of his list of priorities, Clear the trails of orcs
"We're never going to put ourselves back on the map if we can't rid ourselves of this orcish pestilence."
He is offering bounties for orc ears in hopes of encouraging a rush of sell swords to clear out the nearby hills and forests.
It is unknown where he finds the gold to provide such a bounty, but those who know the halfling Marshall well say that he somehow always pays up ... and it somehow always comes from someone else's coffers.
