Wizardess Jhessi Kross and her protector Bertilak arrive at Olostin's Hold with a heavy burden. After spending time within Lathander's Shrine, the pair rest up at the Headless Troll. Upon waking, Miss Kross heads to the Keep library with research foremost on her mind.

Scholar Jhessi Kross emerges from her inn room with several sealed copies of a report. Most of them she delivers to Aedelvana, and reserves one for the next time she sees Saerela.

Scholar Jhessi Kross joins Captain Bertilak on a patrol around Olostin's Hold. They examine the defenses of the keep and the lay of the land. Captain Bertilak dictates to Jhessi his thoughts and she diligently writes them down for later reflection.

News came in about a ride ago, the caravan due in from Triboar had been attacked. Reports were that there were no survivors, not even the horses.


More recent gossip from the local tavern was there was in fact a survivor and she was brought in recently by the local adventurous types just before an attack on the stronghold from the undead and sick treants that took more than a few lives. Whispers say she is hold up in the inn, recovering from being lost in the woods running from the dangers plaguing the stronghold and surroundings for some time now.

Rumors that a pair of dwarves recently arrived at Olostin’s Hold, seemingly as emissaries of the Warcrown of Citadel Felbarr.

Some blunt and less-than-sober queries at the Flaming Flagon were made as to the location of “dwarven ruins.”

Locals note a heated argument outside of the tavern between an elf priestess and a pair of dwarves. The exact nature of the exchange is unclear, but people overheard “Warcrown” and “ruins” and “claims.”
