A collection of songs

Post by Burt_Reynoldz_Mustache »

Several songs were written about the War of the Metal Titans for the many celebrations held in the months following the wars end. Of those songs one stands out. It is a simple song designed to please a drunken crowd. It is heard often throughout the city and the surrounding villages.

"To arms!
To arms, the seas mistress words
Her shout brought many eager swords.
From winters pack to the Tyrants black,
Forest faeries and fine dukes alike
All came together, fighting for life
All came together, fighting for life

Only Two Watchers shrank from the call to arms
When the world needed heroes, from far and wide
Their pride was too much, higher than the tide

For the Ever Vigilant were far from diligent that day!

Elks son, Xujja answered her first,
With his pack of wild winter wolves
Eager and sharp, for blood did they thirst
Seizing the book with white winters claws,
He did force the alliance, turn all to his cause

Nay! The snobby Rathalan cried! Nay, I will not bow, no way!
I will not save the world THIS day!
I will not save the world THIS day!

For the Ever Vigilant were far from diligent that day!

The Black Hand came next, ready for war
Baird, the tyrants own hand, bent his knee to the cause
Against the void they were set to settle a score
Fought back the shadows for their lord of harsh laws

Nay nay! Lemuel cried, I cannot save the world THIS day!
I have a frightful condition, a titanic pride
I cannot guard the world today. I will not, shall not join the fray
My duty and honor, best let them hide

For the Ever Vigilant where far from diligent that day!

Wise elves of the wood, they were the next
Sons of the moon, they came to our aid
Faerie warlords they came, seeking the text
They joined the alliance the tiefling had made
Without everyones help, the world would be wrecked

No No! The two watchers replied
Vigilance this day is out of season
Left up to us the world would have died
Our hatred and pride, thats our reason

For the Ever Vigilant were far from diligent that day!

The common man, he plays a part, he has a say
Watch us not knight, not with your sneer
What did you say? You would not, could not, save the world today
The good folk cheered! Yourselves is all you hold dear!"

A string of wealthy merchants, nobility, and successful farmers have become fatally sick within the last few months. Though death from illness is not an odd thing in Faerun, reports tell that after their passing; grave diggers have come in the middle of the night no matter the burial site and taken the bodies of these people. Some rumor it to be a conspiracy...others argue more frightening possibilities.

At the Helm and Cloak, Security seems to have beefed up, and Flaming Fists members often do rounds, inspecting the Inn and receiving a complimentary cider or ale in return. The outcome has been profitable; as elegant maidens and rich merchants come visiting again. Anachie the bard and minstrel of the Inn, made a song for to celebrate the occasion.

((play while reading))

"Oh thank Tymora, Sune or any godly niece,
For making the Inn come back to peace.
I have Too many trouble-makers on my lists ,
that I'll report to our guarding Flaming Fists.
No more drawing blades or swinging swords,
So now I can peacefully pluck my chords.
For its a month of jail for those hostile pukes,
Who pull out blades here, By the Order of the Dukes!
Go to the Blushing Mermaid if you want a fight,
and ask for the one called the Emerald Knight.
For me though I'll stay by this fire and sing a mystery,
Because violence in the Helm and Cloak is History."

((This is a heads up. Anyone who draws weapons or gets violent in the Helm and Cloak should know that it is commonly patrolled by Flaming Fists and Knights of the Unicorn. Any violence or threat of violence while DM's are not on; will be punished IG by Fists. It should now be common knowledge that the Helm and Cloak is an elegant inn where combat is not tolerated. Anyone who gets rough in the Helm and Cloak should be reported to a DM for immediate IG consequences. The Blushing Mermaid...now that's a different story))

Anachie the bard plays a new song during a crowded supper crowd. The song depicts a group of adventurers lead by a dwarf named Ragnus Ironlung.
((play while reading))

Though their time may be short by the way that they live,
I will never forget the bravery that they give.
Ragnus Ironlung, the dwarf and his men of bravery,
Ragnus Ironlung, His legend will spread throughout the land and sea.
For he and his crew of mighty men,
went down to the undead armies dwelling den.
They battled and fought to save the day,
and now they may be in harms way.
For you never challenge a Vampire Lord,
with his mighty immortal horde.
But laugh he does when questioned of his tales,
for rude as the hells and tough as nails...
Is HEEEEEE.

Ragnus Ironlung, the dwarf and his men of bravery,
Ragnus Ironlung, His legend will spread throughout the land and sea.

A Balduran flute-minstrel has been hired to play for the Flaming Fist's as they train near Dragon's Gate. The Fists seem to have added some different ranks to their units, as heavily armored mercenaries, arcanists, and bowmen all train for hours, attracting crowds of commonersImage
