Sword's Edge in the Underdark. Especially the parts where Salt becomes Saltine, and a PC unknowingly calls in the Mindflayer Mafia.

as for favorite moments - bastian dropping rocks on party nearly killing them, then the subsequent let's beat each other up scene, all while in area with multiple hostile mobs was damn hilarious...

ragnus and his omnipresent smoldering pipe with all the aurilites around also was a source of endless entertainment. still wander how noone got killed...

and have to give a nod to ronan's murderous intentions back in nwn1 when he tried to poison my barbarian at the bar in beregost... i've never rolled so many 20s on fort saves in a row as that night...

(*There were literally hundreds of "times", games, incidents, events, but, the one that truly always sticks out in my mind is this one:)

Being the target for CvC IC-assassination.

Assassin uber buffed and ready. (sold everything for perfect Daramir killing supplies)

Being surprised and attacked by the assassin PC.

Killing the assassin.

Feeling bad for killing another PC.

Healing the assassin back to life.

Watching the assassin heal himself fully.

Being attacked by the same assassin immediately upon gaining full health.

Killing the assassin again.

Stripping assassin, as he bleeds out, of all his uber gear tailored to supposedly be perfect to assassinate my PC.
(so OOC healed him, and asked the player to Barter with my PC, so he could give my PC all his dangerous gear (weapons, etc))

Feeling bad for killing the assassin again.

Healing the assassin again.

Telling him IC to go away and learn/get-better.... and come back... i'll be waiting.
(I think he was a 9th level Weaponmaster with Katana or something silly)

ALFA2:

Creating Bu in October of 2010.

Every day playing Bu with every player and DM, in every server, town, wilderness, house shop, boat-house, inn-house and out-house since then. Way too many stories to tell but it was all part of he becoming him.

I would say one of my best alfa 2 moments, was totally infiltrating a banite light house in ulgoths, killing almost everyone inside, stopping a ritual to enslave a dragon, and then, once we were safely outside, calling the dragon to blow the fricken light house up and snack on any banites we missed. That was Le awesome game.

And Omg the wagon and the wolves. I believe it was Dm Colbalts game with Darkmystic, the whole game was awesome. But I swear I could not stop laughing and saying oh my god the entire time that wagon was with us and the wolves were attacking.

Also, finally getting my drow out of the UD. I swear, I can not explain it to you, but I have never been so happy to see virtual sunlight before.

First night of ALFA live (yes, you read that right)...fair Wynna and I were questing as our namesake PCs. Her, a druid or cleric of some flavor, I believe, myself an unfathomably stout paladin.

A heady evening full of much tentative flirting around this new world, when we burst across an area transition and an Umber Hulk literally spawns next to Wynna and disintegrates her with a single blow. I may have actually filled my pants in real life and proceeded to run, screaming, across five or six areas before the damned thing finally stopped chasing me. Good times.

I'm sure none of you remember Thorin (the farming dwarf) who ran a pre-release server and then disappeared about a week before ALFA was set to go live, but he ran some riotiously stupid mini-campaigns during the ALFA shake-out period. Nothing like luring a party of level 1 characters through a 6 hour dungeon crawl fraught with peril only to drop 15 Balors on our heads at the end.

Old day of BG (nwn1) defending the friendly, watching galadork be a dork.

Orcpaladin and... fug forgot the players name now, but the 2 best played malarites I have ever seen.

Durping around in waterdeep as a noob and getting WW so pissed off.

I remember exploring Loudwater (nwn1) with my elven druid, and being constantly paranoid as it was an unknown (to me) server.

I went into an odd tower, ascended the stairs fought a few grunts, then popped out of the trapdoor on the roof of the tower, where me lvl 6/7ish pc was promptly swarmed by at least 10 lowish level fighter types.

I couldn't see the trapdoor for all the fighters swarming the pc, so no escape, i thought my pcs time had come...

In desperation, i hit "call lightning" on my quick bar, and amazingly got the spell off. One lightning bolt for every bad guy Zzzzzaap!

Dropped about half of the fighters, and was able to whittle away at the rest with much use of healing potions. I added up how much damage i had down with the call lightning, and it came out to something like 230hp!

Maybe it was the Earthspurs. Whatever it was, I always remember thinking it was a supremely stupid choice, as were pretty much all of Thorin's choices.

What's the major city in the Earthspurs? My knowledge of the Realms is currently approaching zero.

Ah the lethality was Loudwater ALFA1 server.

Dorn (PC) went there alone and wandered about 30 yards off the road. Given he'd recently been bare-knuckle fighting hill giants as a 'test of strength' he/I was feeling fairly confident.

Something moved in the distance, he looked and it was 3 "dark druids", turn, ran, but a spell came flying out and collected him dropping him to the ground ((barb will save = teh lame)). Sat their waiting for the end of my 2-3 RL year char when i realised for some reason they wern't following (maybe he ran out of range while being chased by the spell?).

Best get out of jail moment.
