pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

Heh, we'll see how it goes. I can remove players more easily than I can add them so I don't want to kill too many too quickly. There's definitely no shortage of PCs though, so no reason to go easy on anyone.boombrakh wrote:I heard the great culling was over. So in hindsight the culling is not actually a very good idea, though it is amusing. You're better off selecting the PCs and players who best fit into the campaign than allowing a random process to select them for you.

Re: New weekly global* campaign, next session: Nov 10th
Good news everyone! My campaign has two "openings". Sessions are 8pm Eastern on Sundays, with a lot of minor RP happening during the week. The party is currently level 5-8 (but the 8th is a monk), so while a low-level is possible it'd be nice to have mid-level PCs. I'd probably set a cap at level 9 or so, unless you're willing to let me reduce your PC's power.
We need tanks. Glass canons need not apply. OGR's paladin has dibs if he wants a spot, though I'm not sure how tanky he is.
We are currently on TSM and the campaign will probably not leave that server. I don't mind if you're already playing with other DMs, such as HEEGZ's KD stuff.
But a word of warning which is not implicit in my murderous reputation: the plot is old at this point, and complex. There are nearly 800 posts in our forums. It may not matter as much for a late-arriver, but don't expect to know WTF is going on if you only show up on Sundays and don't keep up on the forums.
Applicants must be willing to let me do horrible things to their PC for my own fickle and sadistic amusement.

Get one tank and go rescue the other one!

I want to join but alas as a level 1 player with no motivation to log in for solo nonsense to grind xp my joining seems unfeasible at the current juncture.

Ok, Heero is joining. He'll probably die though, so I'd still like at least one more PC. A dwarf would be especially useful!

Ahh... time zones.
Would have even joined as an NPC for the duration of the TSM plot, if not for time zones.
You kids have fun.
