ALFA heroes

Post by Ithildur »

I just want to say, my heroes in ALFA currently are:

Admin:Zelknolf
HDM: HEEGZ
Builder: Mr. Duncan

Among DMs there's probably several; Lokan's been doing a lot, Ronan I know has been steady with his crew, Stephenumf/Discover has really been steady as well.

Rumple's gone so phooey on him. 8)

If I had to mention a player it's probably either OGR or Kioyi (ok so that's 2), staying regularly active with 2 PCs on 2 servers and playing key roles in both groups.

Especially the first two folks, they're probably the most active and hardest working ALFAns atm (that I'm aware of, might be other folks I don't know about) and really deserve a shoutout.
Formerly: Aglaril Shaelara, Faerun's unlikeliest Bladesinger
Current main: Ky - something

Zelknolf is a champ. So was Foam. Hanging out in the Tech channel I saw the hours they (tech) put into making -your- alfa experience better.

Everyone else is a chump.

(Actually i'd also add Adanu to the list on the DM side. He always has time for his players. Or did. I'm out of the loop).

(And if we are singling out people for props, i'm going to say Twin Axes and Orangetree for their library contributions, and Mikayla as well, even though she has been slacking as of late)

(Hialmar probably deserves praise for selflessly giving when he has no involvement in game, and hosters as well)

(Grudgingly I will also say V for his blood money)

(And HDM's and admin)

(The list gets longer and longer)

(Whatever, Rumple sucks)

My current heroes are all of the DMs who are running campaigns, one off sessions and everything in between.

Thanks to Castano who despite being in the middle of the busiest time of his year, is still working on MS and trying to make it a better place to play.

Muse and Vendrin are my ALFA heroes - they DM'd the most involving, awesome, character-defining, character-changing, character-everything campaigns I ever got to play in during my 36 some odd years of role-playing.

Honorable mentions to Wynna, Indio, Marky-Mark (aka Marklos), Fionn, Fluff, and a bunch of the other old-timers (especially the ones that hashed out the Charter, the Pillars and all the rest of that stuff with me) that built ALFA's foundation along with Trid, Albereth, etc. Oh, and Aitana, who, though she won't admit it to anyone, is my BFF. :)
ALFA1-NWN1: Sheyreiza Valakahsa
NWN2: Layla (aka Aliyah, Amira, Snake and others) and Vellya
NWN1-WD: Shein'n Valakasha

Oh now we're talking past heroes of ages gone by... :) Ok, I'll play, just for fun.

The (then) oh so green, wide-eyed, happy just to be alive njubs aka SD Ducklings (played by Maxcell, Lou, Legio, Valn99, Acadius, a few others) ,Wvincenti (the papa elf figure Glorfindel), Adalia13 (mama elf figure Marianna that gave the name Ducklings), Misty (the bad girl half drow). Several others whose names I can't recall atm.

DM Virv who was the most consistent DM on SD for the Ducklings, Westgate HDM Inaubryn who provided an incredibly dynamic stage for some amazing stories with the bad girl in a bad town with bad people. 8)

Wynna, Curm, JLM, BHM, Ronan, Keryn in more recent years... others too.

and I can't believe I forgot to mention le PUNY!

My ALFA Heroes of the distant past: Illialid, Ayergo, Borgia, and ... yes... Burt (for taking up the heavy lift of stepping in to manage Team Shar at a very ugly time).

Of the not-so-distant past: Wynna, JLM, Curm, Trid, -0got me through the first 4 years of ALFA2 with lots and lots of DMd time and campaigning.

I really appreciate the work that many builders, scripters, DMs, ... everyone... does now. But I wish some euro-time players and DMs would come back. I know there's stuff happening nowadays but it all seems to go down while I sleep.
