What level is your character?

Level 4 - 5 is 4000 Exp, level 1-2 is 1 and 2-3 2 and 3-4 3, a total of 6000. Hmm that makes little sense but its the first time static quests start to say your too high a level and you start to get 1xp for things that gave you more at lower levels.

level four is the begining of the DM attention gap I think, a lot of things are "level 1-4 only". XP begins to slow down, character advance ment slows down so players either retire or take risks and get killed.

Couple that with it being the "safe" zone, ie the point at which a PC has a modicum of survivalbility, means its also the point players tend to stop worry about XP and chasing it and they settle back into their groove.

Its a point where a player might begin to take more risks and so more will get their PCs killed.

A combination of all those factors gives the spike I think

On another topic I think the spike at lvl 4 and lvl 8 can be attributed to baby booms in PC creation which over time levels off as the njubs fall by the waist side. That being said I think we are coming up on a rather large increase in lvl 1s in the very near future. Why this matters? I have no clue.

I was just asking for Levels, not how long it took them. I find it interesting that a few of the highest level players who also frequent the forums have not participated as of yet. I hope they do because when this is done, I'd like to replicate the "Survey" that was done last year by a player. Not only would it it be interesting to see how the data compares but it'll be interesting to see how close or how far off the Forum numbers are from the real thing.

Time to place your bets to see if the numbers match perception and settle at least a few debates... if that's possible.

A survey such as this would only be beneficial if you could also obtain the following variables to be used in comparision with a character's lvl.

1) Amount of time spent in game

2) Amount of time spent in game earning RP xp

2) Amount of time spent earning DM xp

3) Amount of time spent earning Static Quest xp

4) Amount of time spent earning Spawn xp

5) Amount of time spent not earning xp

edit: why not add just a few more variables cause I'm a stats guy
