Italics for Emotes
Italicized emotes in chat are an impressive and clean-looking alternative to asterisks. You can use italics by typing <i> - it's easiest to have your emotes at the end of a sentence, so there is no need to close the tag with </i>.
Bold for Emphasis
You can bold words in chat the same way you would italics - <b>. This is handy for yelling or placing emphasis on words.
Emotes and Skill Checks
When doing skill checks, it is better to roll before you describe the result of the roll. Seems obvious, but people manage to miss this.
Healing Potions for the Faithless
Secular vendors can be found in the following places:
- Rivermoot
- Inside High Hold
- The Market in Silverymoon
- Winter's Edge
Improved Alchemist's Fire
Costs about 54g. You can apply it to your weapon, but it only lasts about two rounds - save your money for something that will save your life.
Invisibility Potions
If you use these in the middle of combat your foes can still attack you, although they get an additional 50% chance of missing. Seems to work fine for sneaking past things that didn't see you chug it, but still a pretty iffy deal for 337g.
Natural Leader and Expert Tactician Feats
These are bugged - you may receive the drawbacks but none of the benefits. Don't get them.
Temples
Places of worship exist for the following faiths on TSM (this list is not exclusive, contact a DM about others):
- Helm
- Ilmater
- Kelemvor
- Lathander
- Moradin
- Red Knight
- Tempus
- Torm
- Tyr
Torches
These are bugged - only certain merchants sell working ones, and even those you can't put on your hotbar. You need to drag it from the inventory to your paper doll every time. Innkeeper at High Hold is one of the merchants that sells good torches.
Use Magic Device
Comes in handy if you can access Lastima's store.

Is there a way to more precisely control the camera zoom function? To make it more like NWN1, where there's no lag and it moves exactly to where you wish.

Character Mode: Fine camera control, 360x360, smooth zoom in and out. Resets from the position you put it in to behind you when you move.
Strategy mode: 3 levels of zoom, 360x~172 degree motion, stays where you put it.
They each have their uses, I've not found a happy medium, though if th strategy camera could zoom out more it would be more useful I think.

Hm. Begging your pardon, but I'm not sure I understand your response. My problem is that when I tap the arrow key to zoom, or turn the mouse scroll wheel just a fraction, the camera continues zooming in or out for a whole second or two, making it very hard to control its exact distance to my character.
edit: I may have expressed myself a little unclearly. I meant to ask: is there a way to change this?

Cleaned up thread and stickied.
As far as other temples, there are organizations and areas associated with certain deities but without NPCs that offer stores/healing/etc in place (Mielikki, Mystra, Azuth, Silvanus, Selune, Corellon, Oghma, Milil, among others)

I think this was meant to mean that, when in strategy mode (freely rotating camera, centered on the PC; NWN1 cinematic style) only three degrees of zoom are possible in that mode. Personally, I hadn't thought about it that way until I read that post, because it moves smoothly between them in a fashion that leads you to believe it ought to have more fine controls. If there is a way to improve this, hopefully someone will pass it along to me so we can get it in place ASAP. I also find it frustrating.

In strategy mode at least, it only "stops" at a few distances, even with the mouse scroll wheel. At least it does for me (and perhaps Sintaqx and TA).

Maybe it'd be a good idea to put some of these tips in the loadscreens.

Updated first post.
How to Rest in the Wild
Shift+Rightclick your character and select PC Tools from the menu. Select the Pitch Tent button, then rest. Afterwards, select the tent and open the Miscellaneous tab in PC Tools; click the remove button and then click the tent.
