I think this could potentially help us get some new blood.

English is not my first language, so I was hoping one of you would step up and help with this.

Basically it would include a few words on switching to a new site, what we're currently up to, and that we would love it for them to come back and check things out. Some sales skills wouldn't hurt

It's important to think this one through a bit though, so I was thinking once we have something fleshed out, I could post it somewhere and we could have a collective look at it before I start figuring out how to do this from a technical aspect.

Also, before it's sent, I will change the applications system to include a 'returning member' option.

As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday.
My name is MR THOMAS WIRUM, a Crude Oil merchant in Norway,i have been diagnosed with Esophageal cancer .
It has defied all forms of medical treatment, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts.

I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul so, I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charity organizations in Austra, cameroun, liberia,Algeria and Malaysia. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore. I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute the money which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria and Pakistan, they refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence! , I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended wi th what I have left for them.

The last of my money which no one knows of is the huge cash deposit of Eight million dollars $8,000,000,00 that I have with a finance/Security Company abroad. I will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatched it to charity organizations.

I have set aside 10% for you and for your time.

It's a good idea. Push the NWN2 angle with the TSM server and potential Baldur's gate et al. Remind them that NWN1 is still going in case they have old PC's in the vault.

Yeah, forgot to mention that. I think we should wait until BG2 is live. Ayergo says it should be any minute now. So really pri 1 right now is fleshing out and implementing a portalling system of some kind. Still would like to start looking into this now, and getting a nice mail ready.

You may or may not remember me from that game A Land Far Away (ALFA).

You may also be suprised that we're still going strong. 100+ CONSISTENT members on NWN1 and NWN2 and still enjoying FREE persistent games run by DMs and wth other players with the same good RPing.There are lots of new faces around and old from around the world.

Anyway i'm just writing to invite you back!

NWN2 has brought a huge improvement to the game and the servers are beautiful. But if you've still got NWN1, dust it off!

Don't worry about the whole application thing...
(this is where you say, BRIEFLY 2 sentences?, how it's been made easy and that if some of you quit becasue it was too hard to get in this is how it's easier - without something genuine here it may not work).

New Haks - simplified way of getting set-up (that's all you Zic )
(explanation of what cool things are included... like the awesome new tilesets for NWN1 that we don't have.)

New Games - List of open DM slots, Campaigns & Player groups looking for players.

New Moderation policy - Explanation of how much calmer/friendly the community is.

New rules - Include any changes to rules that make the community seem more fun... races, RP spells, classes, systems ... ect..

New DM positions - List of HDMs seeking DMs for their servers. (in case we someone was more interested in DMing.)

Builder? - List of Servers that are still available for building, and ones that are accepting builders to help out current projects.

Over all imo you need to portray ALFA as something new...with some friendly old faces...

People aren't here because they "forgot" about us... on the contrary they "remember" and choose to stay away, so make them wonder if something major has actually changed...BUT.

Lets make damn sure things have changed, because we only get once chance to make a good second impression.

The rules changing thread was the GREATEST civil / heated discussion I have seen in years. Imagine if that topic had been raised a few years ago. Really good job everybody keeping their "head"...that was pretty cool. I was impressed, really.
