A Land Far Away

I don't know where this needs to go, so I will place it here.

I play a cleric on BG. For some reason any time I rest or pray I never receive my full allotment of level 1 spells/blessings. I receive all other levels in full. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

An intermittent bug...should clear off by the time you log in next. If not you need DMN to fix it for you.

Is your spellbook full ?

Yes, my prayer list is full.

This has been happening over the past several months. I have prayed in and out of armor. I have change the blessings on the prayer list, etc... Always the same thing.

wisdom increasing items or did you requisite an attribute point to wisdom at lvl4 or during the recreate back a couple months ago when we all had to rebuild. ? My clerics been working without hitches. So odd is your dilemna. Good Luck

This is a bug that I experienced many times on BG. It seemed to occur after or during combat and BRM knew how to fix it.

If he didn't pass on that trick to DMN, I'm sure he can likely contact BRM and get the info.

I'd recommend asking DMN about it.

Unfortunately this is the first I've heard of the problem, so I've not looked into it before. I can look into your PC's spelltrack records and try to see if there is something amiss there, I suppose... but conditions, symptoms, and means of "fixing" would be much appreciated to help narrow down the problem.

Sorry I can't give more details...but it seemed to happen during heavy combat when my PC exhausted her spells and then managed to pray for more (in other words: "at the worst possible times" ). It could be from going into negative HP's, or possibly from being ported as the party moved about. I never asked BRM how he fixed it, but it may have been use of the DMFI force rest button in the client (this could be wrong, however, because resting initiated and completed by the PC changes nothing).

It was quite persistent until a BRM fix or a server reset, however. Logging in and out didn't seem to help as I recall.

Mine occurs whether in heavy combat or just changing my prayer list in non-combat. I have seen nothing that "triggers" it so to speak.

Again, it is only my lvl 1 prayers, lvl 2 are fine.

Banite clerics never suffer such difficulties. It is simply the weakness of Lathandar.

Could be Force Rest. I'd suggest giving that a try.

Force Rest will replenish the blessing, however, next time I log same thing happens.
