Question time
Hello everyone.
I don't know how long it's been since I've built in NWN2, but it's been too long. I really miss being part of ALFA. This laptop I've been given for work (I gave away both of my build machines) handles the toolset nicely. My life has changed a lot in the last year...I compute irregularly at best. I'm happy with this, but I feel the need to build.
I even took a look at DA:O. Now that is an ugly toolset (nevermind the ruleset). And no MP? What were they thinking. I want to work on Skullport again, and tie in an area or two of Waterdeep. I'd like to DM a regular session on that server.
Who do I speak to?

Re: Question time
DM wise, Curm is in charge of the DM corpse atm. Not sure about working on servers though, unless you want to build some for bg, then you talk to me.

Re: Question time
Thanks for that phone call last year Swifty. It was a terrific gesture after the fires.
Daniel, if there are no new servers allowable, then I'd love to help build on BG.

Re: Question time
Check with Teric, WHL is in beta still...Castano has Moonshaes in beta as well.

Re: Question time
I've still got the haks, but will they be updated if I log on to a server and get an auto update?

Re: Question time
Nice to see you around again, indio
Logging on will certainly update the haks - probably the only (at least the easiest) way.
Your old skullport mod is still around. It's been past around through two different hands since then, but nothing really has been done on it, so you're safe working on what ever copy you currently have. I'm not sure what the other Admin's thoughts are on getting a new server in the works, but personally I would love to see our current ones given a little bit of a boost along before turning to new pieces.
Anyway, Curm will see this before long. He always does.

Re: Question time
You're right. It's working a treat. Downloading the haks now.
Gee, 2 teams worked on Skullport without progress. I hope it wasn't the mod itself that was the problem.
I'm in no rush to get a server live, by any stretch, so I can join a team, Curm willing. I hear TSM is over 2GB
. Exciting. BG has some beautiful exteriors on it, so perhaps I could help out with a beta server looking for some content. But there again, if Daniel is needing help...I'd just like to help.

Re: Question time
I've PM'd Curm and will wait to see what's on his mind. Thanks for the welcome and the help.
Edit: And great work on the site. Integrated goodness. And the basemod is great too Curm.

Also, good to see you back indio. Your building prowess is always appreciated, and your energetic DMing to make ALFA 2's start a blast is not forgotten.

Re: Question time
Replied to indio's PM before I saw this thread - sorry I covered so much ground that others have already exposed.
YES! Welcome back, man - I'm glad to see you here again, and will happily discuss possibilities with you. Drop in on #alfa-builders if you can.

Welcome back mate!

Glad you've decided to re-enter the world of technology and communication. It is 2010 after all

Fionn's been loitering in chat, too.indio wrote:I've come to the conclusion that it's not NWN that I'm tired of, it's computers. ... I'm packing them up. I've got a laptop I use for work, and that be that.
I'll be completely useless to ALFA henceforth, but like Fionn I will probably enjoy the occasional visit.

And so this will be my last post from my office...I'm now going to pack up the computers.Wynna wrote:I don't believe it.
If it's true, best wishes in every endeavor and thank you for all you've contributed, though that seems inadequate. Otherwise, see you after your rest.
