You have a DMFI widget in your PC's inventory. Right click on it and go down to activate item. You will then get that spell targeting thingy to pop up. Click that on the item you want to rename and the box that allows you to do so will come up.

Needless to say, the playerbase has a responsibility to use the right to rename their possessions responsibly. Iron bar should not be renamed to Adamantine Ingot and sold to gullible new member PCs, etc. Don't make me take away your toys!
