Some documents were found in the house the other night. Twilight picked them up and has gone over them. Here is the summary of what they contain, per ayergo:

The documents essentially outline the Thayans attempts to weaken and infiltrate the Forsaken of Tymora and their difficulties controlling the goblins. It seems that in order to increase their power in the city, the Thayans wanted to control the black market and smuggling and as such was working with the Xanathars, controlling the goblins to disrupt the Forsaken Shipments, and were ultimately going to buy them out.

Many difficulties existed controlling and training the goblins. Food seemed most difficult to provide to their summoned TRex. It seemed no end of difficulty for them upkeeping such a beast, however the goblins were fanatically loyal to it, worshipping it as a god.

Toliv has a bunch of crap from the dungeon he picked up (normal weapons, skeleton knuckles, etc, anything that can be sold for any small amount of profit), going to sell it and hand off the gold to someone else to pass out everyone's share.

He also has a few common books he picked up, if he already has them in his own collection (most likely yes), he will pass on those books also to someone else if they want them for any reason - Toliv was "told" with some...certainty... that he was "not the only one who collects books" (that's great)... he didn't know that, and also did not claim them either. Which is why he asked the group in the dungeon "if" no one wanted them, he'd pay their value (most of them = 1gp when selling them) so they're group loot as well of course, so anyone interested is welcome to them also. Anyone interested in books Toliv does not have already, it might be fun to roll for them? I'll post here again with their titles. I know the books Toliv found were all the "basic drop" non-enchanted normal books, which are valuable to him, but not so much anyone else except probably people who don't like Toliv and just want to confront him at any chance they get .

Doubtful he'll join the group again, but he'd leave saying anyone who gets sick, or afflicted by any long term poisoning or illness to please come to him anytime for help.

He would also have told Dahvet that he will replace the Restoration Potion he used when down there. Wasn't going to use it, but Toliv's strength was at 4 and getting lower so was worried it was some diabolical new poison coded to eventually kill the poisoned or something, so at 4 Strength, I was getting worried to wait any longer to get cured.

I'll replace that potion asap Stroker.

Toliv would be very concerned and hoping to discuss the new information found about "the master" with respect to the special book that was found at the end just before I had to bail. He'll seek out Dahvet to talk about that when there's time. Dahvet knows why.

Vickie shows Shein'n the note she found and a bottle and a box with different Makers Marks on them. One is a extremely rare make of vodka like drink made by Sylmaris Petdithas and rarely found outside Calishan. The Other bear the Mark of Khazur Stormbrewer (a Well known tobacco maker in Waterdeep) A box of his cigars cost more than most make in a year.
Vickie says to Shein'n "Seems they are supplying the teens with drink and cigars!"

Keryn and Jackman enjoyed evening drinks and the fire in the Safehaven. Keryn spoke of the adventure with the Sunites into the crypts and mentioned the book found. Jackman relayed a tale of a crazy, forlorn man who called himself "The Master." He wrote a manuscript about Ilmater's time on Faerun which was his greatest achievement but also ruined his life.

Jackman and Trailyn have inquired at Neulen's Nets about having a set of extra-large lobster traps made. They are also purchasing used steel weapons around the Adventurer's Quarter and scrapping in the dump to look for hunks of discarded metals.


(Rather than randomly wander and hunt in the sewers we thought we would be like "rust monster lobstermen". We'll set a series of traps filled with tasty metal, pop up to the surface for a few ales, then come back down and collect our spoils )

Someone with Knowledge, animal or dungeon, might know if the antennae can be cut without harming the creature and if they grow back.

Keryn, Marisha, Bran and Wayfarer went out chasing a rumor of a possible source of the undead. The rekked toward a cave mouth in a mountain north of the city and found it ridden with undead, mostly shadowy incorporeal types that bring a chill to the bone when the living are in their presence.


Working deep into the cave, the group came across what appears to be a summoning platform or portal, but none could discern its properties.

They returned to the city with plans to learn more information regard its construction, owner, operation, destination and, .. whether it functions in 2 directions ... or only one.
