Hmm I thought Ring of resistance was +1 AC deflection. +1 to all saves might interest me after all.Cleasor wrote: The Ring of Resistance +1 is +1 universal saves and 15m light
I think there are 2 Rings of Cold. If Bran has one, Jack gave another to Marisha.
I'm happy to give someone Jack's current set of Leather +1. You might want to change the color from lost sewer baby shite yellow.

Re: The Penguin's Horde
As it turns out, there are actually TWO ring of cold, so here's my updated proposal:
Wayfarer: his magic sword, <open slot>
Dahvet: Book of Levi (divine favor 1/day), Amulet of natural armor +1
Keryn: The wanderer's ring (bonus wiz spells & blue light), Magus guard bracers (+1AC)
Marisha: Cloak of Flame Broil (Fire resistance 5/-), Gauntlets of Ogre power (Str +2)
Toliv: Ring of cold (Fire resistante 5/-), Black swan (full plate +1)
Bran: Ring of cold (Fire resistance 5/-), Ring of resistance (+1 to all saves, 15m light)
Jack: Leather armor +2, dagger +2
There's one item left, the metal staff. I propose that Wayfarer sells it and keeps the gold to himself.
Scrolls go to Keryn (I'd take the Dispel magic one, but I'm pretty sure it's Arcane!
).
Ice bolts between Jack and Toliv.
I'm surprised the potions are so unpopular!
Bran can cast all of those effects as spells, so I've no particular need.
So... How does that sound?

Re: The Penguin's Horde
I think the gauntlets would be best on Toliv please - he's more of a melee fighter than a ranged, also kind of a major let down to switch it from Toliv to Marisha after I was initially given them.
In fact the ring was only listed as a "2" for me based on the numbering system you chose. And that almost nothing was useful for Toliv besides the gloves which are monumental compared to anything else.
These choices are not final I hope? Who is making the decision on final allotment?
EDIT: Ah i see it is just a proposal, good! Here's hoping Toliv can swing those strength gloves, that way the other items he wants to donate can go to others in the group from him. Just seems to make sense. But I expect let downs 99% of the time rather than not, so hey what was I thinking!

I stand by my last proposal.
There were 7 persons on the expedition.
Make your opinion known and let's be done about it.

Re: The Penguin's Horde
Valn99, thank you for doing the tough work here and I agree with the proposal. I have the metal staff and if others don't mind, I will hold onto it rather than sell it. It's nice having a 2-handed blunt weapon. I still have my old leather +1 for donation. If someone wants it, claim it. Otherwise, I'll find a lowish level PC and pass it on to them.
Marisha - I have the Cloak of Flame Broil and will give it to you
Bran - I have the Ring of Resistance and will give it to you
Keryn - I have the Dispel Magic Scroll and will give it to you.
I'll distro misc potions too.

OK with Marisha
Marisha has one of the rings of Cold and will Give it to Bran
Will give the scrolls to Keryn

As per usual; that distribution works quite well for me. If I could get one of those CSW potions, I wouldnt complain

If you accept my proposal, then you can deal for the staff directly with Wayfarer. Knowing him, it shouldn't be a problem.Cleasor wrote: I have the metal staff and if others don't mind, I will hold onto it rather than sell it. It's nice having a 2-handed blunt weapon.

I’m good. Thanks valn for coordinating.
I owe the book of Levi to Dahvet.
I have the ice bolts too.
I also have a potion of clarity and lesser restoration.

Well that's too bad, my opinion was made known, and ignored, but like I said I expected that. It appears the decisions were made.valn99 wrote:I stand by my last proposal.

Since Toliv did not change his situation with respect to items, he would offer his guardianship over the Spear of Yeshua since it is a divine item, and he has already planned for important IC reasons to seek out high powered Ilmater Priests that is not publicly known. Some PCs may know a little about what is going on with Toliv with respect to his need to speak to powerful Ilmater priests, and bringing to them that Spear would help him return it to another church (kind of relevant as he's a Cleric), as well as would help him gain some needed IC reputation with that Church for his personal quest/reasons.
Allow me to make an educated guess on this: "No way." ? carry on
On another IC side note, Toliv would ask Marisha that on the off chance she would trade the gloves for the +1 ring, or ever wish to sell them, Toliv would be very interested.

Yeah... Handing over the spear that killed Ilmater's avatar for personal favors might not sit well with some.

tadaa!!ImStrokerAce wrote:Yeah... Handing over the spear that killed Ilmater's avatar for personal favors might not sit well with some.

I guess it would be impossible to believe that the situation I explained above might be "IC", and not just my sneaky way to try and get anything eventually to improve my PC after dying last game, lol, and to think I nearly never went, gotta stick to my gut feeling in the future.
*sigh* It is an Ilmater relic - isn't it? Is it not something the Ilmateri would want or at least it should it be turned over to them? ...that's what I gathered from the earlier post. Toliv did not gain improvement from items, and died. He's a Priest and would like to "hold" the Spear of Yeshua and present it to the Ilmateri church - does not seem very far fetched an idea to me. He's good. He's not going to do anything against his faith or the Ilmateri faith with it unless it's for good reason, and the "personal" gain is a side-bar to gaining RP favor with the Ilmateri for another reason which is unrelated - but very important.
If i'm mistaken over the origin of the Spear, at least wouldn't the Ilmateri faith want to know of it, and or claim it for their church?

Re: The Penguin's Horde
I'm staying out of the loot battles (but secretly loving that it creates tension in the group), but just want to point out that officially the Ilmateri church disavows anything about an Avatar of Ilmater in Waterdeep, and in fact one person's life (The Master) has already been ruined when he wrote a story about it.Galadorn wrote:

So be careful who you tell, or you might find yourself brought up on heresy charges.

Re: The Penguin's Horde
Keryn would strongly caution that the group keep the spear and all they discovered as secret as possible IC. The spear, the sword and the books need to remain with the group as they could prove critical in removing the planar incursions.

Re: The Penguin's Horde
I'm all for the IC realism.
People never want to hang around and RP after events. No one (well I wasn't, but that's not saying much..) de-briefed me about the spear...
All Toliv "saw" was Bran (i think?) HEALING someone else with it! So it SEEMS like a "good" item...to him.
Far as he (and I for that matter) observed, someone said the Spear was an Ilmater relic.
So I assumed it should be brought back to them!
Regardless then, if Toliv gets filled in, he'll drop the idea i guess.
((but he still needs an Ilmater high level Priest to talk to!))
