I look at it this way, if you can't decipher what is the difference between fantasy and reality, or if you're prone to believing that killing, stealing, whatever, is the only way to make it through life, you need serious psychiatric and/or spiritual help. I do think that media does influence only the stupid and weak-minded, and those that have never known any better on how to act like a normal civilized human being.

wow, dude. I hear those words (point!) and 1st thing i think of is that all the people (regardless of creed) in jail probably didn't play enough D&D. Then they could have blamed TSR and WotC for all the thuggery, killing, pimping, drug dealing, carjacking and what ever on a game instead of what they normally did as law offending citizens...

The game is played with two or more people with the average group
consisting of 5, including the DM.

Who plays table top and even has 5 friends.. including the DM.

There is one case of the game
being followed, that the DM a lady, has quit her job and does
nothing except create and prepare a dungeon for her players. She
has created an entire country. The players of the group support
her living necessities. They pay for her home, her groceries,
her bills, etc.
