I have to say that from Boston to DC on the Amtrak, going through CT was some of the nicest scenery on my trip around the States, with quaint little bayside towns and the like. Up until it hit New Jersey, at which point it went way downhill very quickly...Rotku wrote:I think I'll just book into the place that paazin recommended for the night of the 22nd and 23rd and probably look to leave for NYC or DC Sunday evening by bus/train/carpool/somehow.
Sit on the left side of the aisle if you take the train from Boston to NYC/DC, so you can see the coast.NickD wrote:I have to say that from Boston to DC on the Amtrak, going through CT was some of the nicest scenery on my trip around the States, with quaint little bayside towns and the like. Not sure if you'd think it's worth the US$90-100ish to get to NY though. (US$130ish if you go to DC and get an early train)
