My life is meaningless with no decent MMO's to play atm.

meh..Im bored with WoW. Im still playing, though. Waiting on something Sci fi to play.

I couldn't get into WoW, it was such a pve grindfest, got to 64 or so then finally figured out there was no real open pvp. I'm still doing Lineage 2 atm, one of the few MMO's with a decent pvp/pk system, even though it is a korean grindfest of a game.

you should try the 10 hour WoW trial and get a char up to 19. Play him the battlegrounds or do some ganking on a pvp server. It is quite fun.

I was on a Pvp server. Infact played on Horde on a server that had twice as many alliance as horde members. Killed enough people that I had a few thousand honor from leveling. Was still dull. Even then once you do get max level, you litereally need some of the best gear to be competitive in arenas and to an extent battlegrounds. If you don't have 10k+ hp and 300+ resilance on a hunter don't expect to be usefull in arenas, ever. Personally that is a massive turn off for me.

Don't know if you have ever played Lineage 2, but the pvp/pk system in it is amazing. You can rape people with gear that is twice as good as yours, and if you are a good player that does end up with decent gear you can start raping 2, 3, 5 people at a time. That and sieges. DAMN. When you have two groups of 200+ players clashing against each other it is slick as hell.

point and click of L2 turned me off from the start. That and 1000s of Nekkid Elves.

From those screenshots... It looks archaic. No wonder people are slavering over anyone who knows what the hell a paralex map is, and can use zBrush2. Good word, no trees either.

Hm, and Age of Conan, don't be disapointed with them. The game has serious promise of turning out to be crap from what I've seen.

That's what happens in all PvP type games, electronic or RL Card/Miniatures game. He who plays more/has deeper pockets more than likely has found/bought/haked Windforce (Diablo 2 Expansion or Black Lotus, for you Magic players). Even Clickytech (WizonusKids Mechwarrior: Dorkage) or Mage Knight is susceptible to this.

When i play DDO, when i look at my gear i find for my WF Cleric or (guess who), usually my equipment falls far short of typical players. I'm still using most of the gear i found as loot from last year before i stopped playing because of my transfer to the Ike and the cruise. since I've started back, I've still not found or bought much better...

Lineage 2 I can kill S grades while in A grade, Guild Wars has almost no gear requirements to speak of, Diablo 2 is real easy to get top notch gear.

Course one of those is a MMO, another is a Semi MMO, the other is a great multiplayer 'RPG'

Plenty of games have pvp systems that are much less gear intensive then WoW. Gear is everything in WoW, and people with good gear are exponentially better then people with bad gear. That and the fact that the only thing guildscan do is raid, is bull shit. Absolutely no guild vs guild pvp? Borrrrring.
