Moon-walker Dr Edgar Mitchell Claims Alien Contact Cover-up
Featured
"there has been visitation"
July 24, 2008 12:01am

FORMER NASA astronaut and moon-walker Dr Edgar Mitchell - a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission - has stunningly claimed aliens exist.

And he says extra-terrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions - but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades.

Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as 'little people who look strange to us.'

He said supposedly real-life ET's were similar to the traditional image of a small frame, large eyes and head.

Chillingly, he claimed our technology is "not nearly as sophisticated" as theirs and "had they been hostile", he warned "we would be been gone by now".

Go there and listen to Dr. Mitchell speaking on the radio interview. Hes either a nutjob or hes bold to come out and say this. Would be something if the world truly found out one day that its all true. I doubt it will ever happen, but it would change human history forever.

A species capable of interstellar travel more sophisticated than us? Impossible!

I certainly wouldn't put such a cover up past our lovely government, but to this guy I'd have to say...show me the money.

If anyone does see the second X-files movie, please let me know if it doesn't suck.

34% on Rotten Tomatoes. 49 on Metacritic (6.5 if you go by the users, not the critics).

Safe to assume it sucks.

Regarding Edgar Mitchell, he has been out there for quite some time, including performing private 'psychic' tests with someone on Earth during the Apollo 14 flight, claiming he was cured of cancer by a long-distance psychic (despite his never obtaining a biopsy to verify if he even had cancer), and quite a few other ... oddities. Granted, he's a bright guy with some relatively impressive credentials, but off is off as off wishes itself to be.

He has never provided specifics, and he has made many second-hand claims without validation. He has never provided first-hand claims or presented any evidence to substantiate any of his allegations.

That said, there is the French version of NASA that claims extraterrestrial UFOs are real. I have, personally, never seen anything substantive, although i do like the research some have made to allege the U.S. never landed on the Moon.

But, as nice as it may be to wish for a star, or in this case an alien (assuming they exist), it doesn't look like they have interfered with our love of genocidal acts, with our gross destruction of this Earth's many ecosystems, and with the global wrench we've thrown into our planet's atmospheric dynamics.

So... what really matters at this point is whether the Human race is going to do the things needed to save their own world, rather than hoping someone will come out of the sky and rescue them from their own greed.

The self destruction of our planet is being done simply so the aliens can get a cheap deal on our rock when they need to blow it up for an interstellar highway ;)

I love how all "proof" regarding myths, legends, and aliens always appears grainy and out of focus: bigfoot, UFOs, sasquatch, aliens, and stuff.

That said, I don't doubt aliens are real; I just doubt they live anywhere near us, because we can't be the only sentient life forms in the universe.

Hmm, sentience... you do realize that's a 'philosophical term,' not a scientific term, right? The closest to presenting a scientific term for it can be found in this article: http://www.rfreitas.com/Astro/Xenopsychology.htm

Anyway, that we have opposable thumbs is one reason why we are able to manipulate our surroundings. That, however, does not pose us as the only 'sentient' creatures on this planet.

Apparently to be sentient you have to be able to tell what a mirror is.
