Greetings ALPHA!
I've just begun my adventures within the OAS, with my official application in your knowing hands. I've been a longtime PNP gamer (DND, gammaworld, traveller, topsecret, etc... ... holy flashback) and NWN addict, and share your love for the Forgotten Realms setting. Looking forward to meeting/RPing with many of you over the forseeable future. :D

I'm currently visiting relatives and woefully far from my computer :( . I'll be back on the OAS Sunday evening @ 6pm (likely), and Monday morning @ 7am(definitely).

A few tips,

AFLA is awesome if you:

treat it like paper D&D... find or build a party... hook up with a DM for regular sessions... be part of something...

don't solo... it gets you killed and gives you a Power gamer rep... ALFA's Faerun is a huge, lonely, deadly place by yourself.

stay in charater as much as possible.

be willing to play at all hours of the night.

don't get discouraged no matter how many characters you lose at first.... the CR levels of baddies is different from NWN campaign and lots of thing you need to learn...... I lost 15 chrs lvl 1-2 (at least) when I joined. Save you favorite PnP characters for after you have learned the ropes.

Have Fun 8)

Welcome and good luck with the application. Hope to see you around in game.

The fact that you actually played GammaWorld dates you, my friend. Please send me your address and your Lipitor and Polygrip will be forthcoming (I mean, as much as I can spare.) :)
