Week off

Post by indio »

Tried starting on interiors and hit a wall. Toolset's a bit buggy for me on interiors (and was before the hak release AL) so I'll probably return to exteriors till the next patch. Gonna take a week off regardless but will still be on the boards.

10 days ought to do me.

I've been immersed in the BG Tutu experience. Up to Cloakwood Mines. Will I never get sick of that game?

I'll get back into building over the next few days, contemplating how to factor in this amazing new building block hak. I'm still not gong near interiors until I get greater stabilty working with tiles (I crash every 5 minutes or so on interiors), so I've begun Sundabar and the 3 areas linking Silvy to it.

I'm curious, why are you crashing? Is is due to using the whole mod at once and trying to add interiors to it? Maybe you could do the interiors as seperate mods and erf each one and then add them to the main mod later.

It's a real quandry in truth. Not sure why I crash on interiors...exteriors are rock solid. It usually happens placing certain tiles, 3o or 4 of which instantly crash the toolset. And random clicking on a placeable will do it too. Or a half-click followed by a mouse move of a placeable.

I've done reinstalls and cleared Overide folders, but it's on 2 separate machines that it happens, so I was putting it down to the toolset. I'll try a clean mod today and see if it keeps happening. Should have tried that a long time ago ;)

My need for breaks, like an octogenarian without a motorised cart, is becoming stronger. I'm grizzled enough to know when I need one though.

I'll be on the boards, but I'm Away From Toolset for the next week.

Enjoy your break! I am enjoying Silverymoon ATM, made a few additions and changes to the exteriors. I will be doing interiors this week starting with the palace :) Screenies will follow shortly of the newly updated palace and gates :)

Break time for me again.

Will keep an eye on the forum, but won't be toolsetting at all for a week. When I start back I'll be tackling the back half of Moonsea.

Enjoy the break, well earned. I'll likely be a bit more scarce through the rest of the month as well, finishing up a degree and planning a big move soonish.

Enjoy your time off, gents. I think you've both earned your PhD's in module building by now. :)

Well done and thanks for all your hard work.
