Fan Films - good ones? Bad?

Post by PensivesWetness »

What is your thoughts on fan films made over the years? Fan Films cover many interests but the one's i've been seeing and DLing are Star Trek oriented. New Voyages, Exeter & Farragut are but a hand full out there (if you ignore the european Star Wreck, at your peril) but what fan films do you like or recommend?

I'll take note that i've seen very few Battletech films (other than Combatant)...

comments?

Art Of The Saber, a short Stars Wars fan film. Very simple yet very well-done.
"The God of the Qurʾan is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully." -- Vaelahr

This.
Is good. But needs to make up it's mind if it's a Matrix or a Star Wars film!
Current PCs:
NWN1: Soppi Widenbottle, High Priestess of Yondalla.
NWN2: Gruuhilda, Tree Hugging Half-Orc

Its been around for a while but "Troops", a starwars based parody of "Cops" that follows a couple of Stormtroopers through their daily routine, is pretty good :D

This was very cool. Choreography was better than in any of the SW movies, save maybe Phantom Menace, because Ray Park (Darth Maul) is a real martial artist. As a sequence, this was much better, because Episode 1 kept cutting away from the fight to that irritating little kid that was Anakin in the movie.

Especially the dual-wielding part was great, I always love when somebody is able to do that well in real life, as that is hard as hell. Too bad the quality of the clip was not very good.
