Just because you can't log into chat, OP, doesn't mean you should ruin it for the rest of us.

I voted two with the assumption that the rules won't be any more restricting than the current FCC regulations in the US. ie. the Seven Words are bannable offensese and need "bleeping" should they absolutely need to be used, no pr0n, etc, etc. Basically I don't expect chat to be any more restricive than TV, cause TV is also an open forum that even my 2 y/o daughter can watch.

I agree. Bear is using the pg-13 info from the Motion picture association to allow whats being said currently. I hate to say it but Pg-13 films arent even following that. You see multiple instances of cuss words, nudity, and violence. I would hope if #2 does win that we will have a leniant set of words one can say in chat. Right now if you say something most of us say in RL without even worrying about it because its acceptable, you will get kicked or banned for 24 hrs. This isnt kindergarden but it sure feels like it.

3... the over-moderation was irritating, but I didn't use the chat much anyways.

Voted for 1.

I prefer to use colorful language online and irl.

Sexual innuendos/acts/references however don't belong in chat, that's why we have SP cyb0r RP!!!

Just keep in mind that a prospective member might drop by alfa chat to get teh scoop on this community and you wouldn't want to turn them away due to sexually explicit remarks.

I voted for number 2. I haven't been that active in the chat for the past few weeks so I have no idea what has been going on. But I think we do need atleast some form of basic moderation, Hyperbolic's basic rules seem fine with me.
Huh?

"The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully." -- Richard Dawkins
