Trid said on first attempt, the beholder model did not appear to work from a hak. Didn't get details, and haven't tried it myself, figured neither beholders nor unicorns will be a priority to have from day 1 of Live.

also, would make sense for them to start our ninth hak, alfa_creatures.hak ?

3 new traps to consider including the swinging spiked ball, floor spikes and the ever-popular pit trap. I would loooove to see the pit trap. :)

Beholders are necessary for day one of Moonsea live which is a while away considering it will be two weeks before I am up and operational to rebuild again!

I want to see people crap themselves when a beholder floats down Zhent street with an entourage of armoured Zhentarim flanking it.

Its an okay beholder.. does have that homemade look to it however cant put my finger on whether its in the textures or the model itself.. but at least there's finally model to play with.

I'm fairly new to ALFA in fact Im waiting for my app to be acepted but I would love to leave a list of good haks that would for sure add alot of this world.

Music pack compilation: it includes music from BG series and others, it is very complete and also big, but it offer a great variety of ambient music, which is always a plus when you talk about imersion and about great areas in a RP environment.

Crypt Pit: Tired of the standard OC Crypts?

Image

Well this hak offers you the ability to actually make a nice Crypt, scary stuff no doubt :P

DMCB: Yeoman of the Greenwood- REVISED This haks adds a whole new set of armors with awesome full plates, chain mails and others. The Gloves and hoods are also very nice. Also the ability to set a sword in the armor makes paladins and fighting classes much cooler, basicaly just like the arrow quiver archers get. Worth having it IMO.

Escrimator's weapon packs Definately fitting in the best packs around. Escrimator has released so far a: Scimitar, Clubs, and Hand Axes pack, all of them with incredible quality.

Drow Items? definately worth having in a underdark setting.

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NW ... ail&id=289

OC Elf heads who look like starving ugly elfies? Someone took sometime to redo them the result is great.

Image

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NW ... ail&id=144

Wild Elves Hair for ALL? it is obvious the Wild elves were not rushed to fit NwN2 first release, we can see that with the type of detail the hair and faces have. This haks places their cool new hair available for all. A Must!

NPC playable heads? With the ugly heads we got I guess we can never have enough...

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NW ... ail&id=246

Minotaur heads I bet some DM would drool, not sure it fits Alfa setting though.

New Females Cool Hair Even if your PC only lasts a few days :P At least let the gals get some sweet looks :P

There is more.... but I guess I'll leave it to another day :P[/b]

Escrimator's weapon packs
For what it's worth, these two are in ALFA's haks already (though I believe we only did the escrimator's scimitars, without the clubs and hand axes).

For the alternative heads, NPC heads don't render hoods, helms, etc equipped, so they're not ideal for PW play. We could still look into adding them if many people want them, but it's somewhat immursion breaking to wear invisible armored helms, and/or never be able to cover your head or face with any kind of adornment.

We've also got the limitations of hak content not loading before character creation, which means expanded head/hair choices require overrides, which can interfere with other servers people play on at best. Obsidian has indicated they may address the hak loading issue in an upcoming patch- if this is confirmed, we can definitely revisit the expanded head selection.

Yes the hak content limitations really limits the way new PCs can use the cool heads/Hair from custom content. Which is a shame since it needs overide files to work.

Since we are at it I would like to leave the

No Map Hak You enter a dungeon and your eye automatically checks the minimap? tsk tsk, sorry theres no map :P Get ready to get lost in a maze eheh

Minotaur heads are important for a few key canon NPCs in later stages of Moonsea live..

A quick search turned up nothing, so:

Banners of Forgotten Realms Deities

<Kest> It'd be pretty sweet to see a warband
<Kest> with a standard-bearer carrying a banner that gives nonstackable party buff, morale-booster kind of thing
<Kest> ha, new role for the Bard
<paazin> target practice?

Neat models, bad stats. Maybe there's something hand-razory in some sourcebook or other that could give better stats inspiration, but having a 2d4 monk weapon with huge threat range and crits, is a little different than all the existing monk stuff (compare with the kama at 1d6 dmg, x2 crit on a 20 only).
ALFA NWN2 PCs: Rhaggot of the Bruised-Eye, and Bamshogbo
ALFA NWN1 PC: Jacobim Foxmantle
ALFA NWN1 Dead PC: Jon Shieldjack

Stats are very easily changed

The punching dagger in the PHB is a simple weapon that does 1d4 x3.

I'm sure those claws would do more damage and probably be considered exotic, but definitely not 2d4's worth.

some sets are over the top but make perfect ornamental priest/high level (N)PC armours..

the orc-robe set is perfect for Manshoon and his battle-gorget!

also.. anyone seen these..?

http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NW ... 0597&id=40

would be great to borrow the system and implement forgotten realms heraldry with it.. I'd be happy to work on this if there's a demand..
