It seems that the group I've been RPing with has left ALFA. I don't have any clue as to why, it's too badd I had just found a steady group to play with after lurking around ALFA off and on for a couple of year. I want to play on ALFA still. So can I make a new character, maybe check out Moonshaes, nothing fancy just a rudy faced little hobbit to wander the land of ffolk, sing songs and maybe fill his/her belly/purse.

You could also have your character validated for one of the other NWN1-ALFA servers; Shadowdale, Sembia, or Moonshaes. I expect you may be able to meet up with others on one of those; I know Shadowdale has quite a bit of scripted quest content as well.

NWN2, as mentioned, is another option. The Silver Marches have been getting decent player coverage lately (usually 2-8 people on round the clock, peaking at 12-13 people).
