Seeking men for Catacombs: Time TBA

Post by dergon darkhelm »

Rathalan Whitsword has spoken to many men over the last few rides, attempting to enlist them in the investigation into the cause of verminous infestiation of the Silverymoon catacombs. Despite finding the place unseemly, he has made himself available at Sorlar's Smiling Satyr at least an hour each evening, attempting to find trackers, swordarms, healers and arcanists for what is promising to be a potentially dangerous delving.

Over the last two nights though, there has been some sense of urgency added to his efforts to recruit men. He has increased the offer of payment to One Hundred gold coins per man willing to pledge himself to the phalanx undertaking the mission.

Apparantly there is confirmed support for the underground delving from the highest official levels within both The House Invincible and The Lady's College.

(( for those of you who have already expressed interest in coming along (or have been IC railroaded into participating ;) ) please post below good times for play. Wynna is pulling the strings behind the curtain on this, so any time has to fit her schedule. Generally that's late morn &early afternoon US west/ afternoon & early evening USeast/night time Europe/ late night Israel and super late night aussie.))

I would love to see either Monday/Tuesday/Wed of next week starting around 3-4pm US east..

Ideally, my best times are, in order of preference:

US Fridays or Saturdays (evenings or daytime - I'm willing to stay up late for a weekend session, especially if I've been out and come in wired like last night/this morning)

US afternoon/evenings on Monday or Wednesday (as long as it doesn't go too late, I need to get ready for work by the time US guys are thinking of going to bed).

US afternoon/evenings on other weeknights (I definitely have to wrap up by 10 or 11pm EST)

US weekday mornings if it's the only time it works (it'll mean I'll be up very late-not ideal)

Generally, think of me as being unavailable after 11pm EST or so on weekdays, until the next morning, kinda like a EST guy who has to sleep no matter what at a decent hour. That's my work schedule here. Other than that, I have some flexibility.

Wynna will be on a plane on Wednesday all day and visiting family for the week beginning Wednesday March 25 and ending the following Wednesday, April 1. My hours will shift during that time from West Coast to Gulf Coast and could be interrupted by crawfish boils, skeet shoots and fire ant mound eradication (Nothing says: "Love ya, Mom & Dad" like poisoning the fire ants in their yard for them). With the uncertainty of my schedule these days anyhow, it is likely that some of this crawl will consist of me planting the Lewt of Phatness and the 25 Baatezu guarding it and then running around doing RL things while your PCs live and die. I'll try to keep RL at bay, but anything longer than a couple hours will be impossible for me, for sure, in any case.

All that said, let's have some fun!
Enjoy the game

Alright... we're going to need more than one mid/high lvl PC and two lowbies on this I think. Come on, people, line up for the fun times and phat lewt guarded by *cough* kobolds.

On a more serious note, Arathil is preparing as best as he can, polishing his weapon and armor to perfection, inquiring about the nature of the vermin, whether they were disease infested, etc, as well as preparing several freshly scribed scrolls (I understand scribing scrolls must be done via DM intervention currently? would need some help with this; if we're going by DMG the cost would be 25 gp and 1xp per lvl 1 scroll iirc).

So are you in or not, Cobalt? If interested, it'd be helpful to list possible timeslots.

Also, reading the title of this thread, I find myself wondering if Helmites are sexists :P

One University-Affiliated Arcanist signed up, at least.

Free US-Eastern evenings and weekends. This week is a bit hectic, but Friday or the weekend could work out fine.

Next week: Monday, Tuesday, or Friday night could work.

Any of those sound promising?

I'm in Vegas Thurs night to Sunday night ...so coming weekend is out for me.

Let's give it a week and target Monday or Tuesday March 30/31. Start time US East around 5pm?

I'm getting home around 6:20 PM on a good day, though I could try for 30 min earlier if it's definitely a go.

That might work for me. It'll be 4pm Texas time and I might be able to squeeze it in before whatever BBQ meat product we're having is served for dinner. Will have to confirm after this Wed, though, to see if there's anything scheduled either of those evenings.
Enjoy the game

Just gimme a time and date, and as long as it's not either during my work hours (9AM-8PM) or super late (beginning after 1AM, for instance) Jerusalem time, I'm 90% sure I can make whatever time you folks work out. Hells, I'm even game for my lunchbreak period (2:15ish PM to 4:10ishPM) if that's how it goes.

Tuesdays and Fridays, as I've stated many times before are my best days, since I get off around 2:30 - 3:00 PM normally.

I'd like to make a quick query as to what progress has been made to nail down a time and day for this episode in the lives of the RAID Brigade. With Vendrin currently on detached duty dealing with RL I'm currently juggling this with a need to help JLM finally get his sad-sack scallawag sorted out in BG. I'm waiting to hear from John what he's got up his sleeve, if anything (besides an unwashed arm and some fetid raisins festering in his armpit), as I type this.
