- NWN2 forces them to worship a "druid-appropriate" deity, while the PnP Shaman has no such requirement.
- In NWN2, they get to change their spell selection much like the Sorcerer and the Favoured Soul. The Spirit Shaman from the books can pick a new spell selection... wait for it... every day!
- No Wild Empathy.
- The Favored of the Spirits ability is supposed to cost 1000xp per use, paid up front.

You folks aren't forgetting to check if the classes have been tweaked for forgotten realms in particular? There are several classes that work differently from the core rules in the Forgotten Realms. There are those article series you know.
Hm. I looked that series up now and Spirit Shaman is not one of the classes that was updated.
But considering they're protectors of nature I would say it's just fitting to have them have to pick a nature deity.
