Ugh, why have you spent so much time developing 'tools' to control the structure and not embrace it?

I just read over the list of the NWN2 core ruleset you got going on and Im not pleased with it at all. Another PRIME example of why PWs have such LOW player bases.

Im sure there might be a dozen or so people who have settled for this set up, but Im not going to, please just remove me from your system.

And I apologize if I come off as 'bashing', I do not mean to. My quest for a PW continues, like thousands of others players out there.

Oh there's nothing wrong with "bashing", any constructive feedback is welcome. I'm not sure I understand yours though. Exactly what do you oppose? The extra ALFA rules regarding resting? Their scripted implementation? Or the way those work out in play?

No PW is to everyone's liking. And ALFA has always prided itself (perhaps too much) on catering to a niche audience. There are many more fish in the sea though; I'm sure there's one out there better to your liking. Maybe if you list some of your requirements, we could steer you to a server more to your liking - most of us have been on the quest to find our Perfect World too.

The game has peaks of over 20 players online , i would not call that low.

That's only with two servers, the number likely increase when more servers will be added soon.

Hello Khanquer,

I would like to echo Holly's sentiment to ask you to further elaborate the problems you see in the ALFA structure.

It does not mean we will change, but it is always helpful to get outside perspectives.

Also, if you posted the crtieria for what characteristics you would see in an ideal PW, we might even be able to help a bit to nudge you in the right direction.

ALFA is a PW that is meant to be a roleplay intensive worldthat does its best to be honest with the D&D 3.5 rules set. Yes, that limits our numbers to people who are interested in that style of play. But it does not me that we are entirely insular and do not wish to recruit new players to our ranks.

Continue the conversation here and thank you for you honest remarks.

What Degon said...and that you might want to give ALFA a try. It is a significant change from hectic hack/slash/gather loot gaming, but we believe there is greater satisfaction to be had from inhabiting a character and living through the very real sufferings and triumphs that can only be had in submersive RP.

I would encourage you to give us a try...it might take some effort to adapt at first, but the rewards are better than any +10 vorpal blade you might find elsewhere IMO.

I am slightly confused myself....as we have purposefully NOT embraced the system that was sent with the game simply because it lacks, bends, distorts traditional DND 3.5 rules. I am a bit curious myself as to why you'd be miffed at the changes....I thought, given your dming experience, the changes we've made to come closer inline with dnd 3.5 system would have made you feel MORE, not LESS, at home. Very interested to hear about what you'd like to see changed ect...and even more interested to see you actually play a week or two in ALFA to see if you'd actually like it.
