Yeah, apparently people were using them for KNNNNNEEEEEEE armour.....
I heard it was because Standards could not agree on a price for them and, as we all know, wealth standards trumps all.

How else am I to hit the maximum amount of statics in the short time I have to play?

I think I am justified in keeping pace at levelling with rest of alfa as I live in an odd time zone where there are no DMs. I cant possibly get DM lewt so all I can do is maximise my xp output. RP is not an option as I am hopeless at RPing, especially on my own, I just cant make it convincing or enjoyable enough for myself.

Have you tried stacking your statics with farming? Just because you're carrying a macguffin doesn't mean you can't kill all of the goblins on the way, too.

Capital idea! As long I don't have to "roleplay" the farming. I can't type "have at ye!" fast enough in combat and it interferes with my targeted xp output per session.

To assist RP, maybe someone could script in a macro that lets PCs make an array of options for attack talks / emotes, and then randomly choose one to display every time the PC makes an attack?

As the runners, they just have to take a barbarian level to get the running speed they've been RPing hard for.

I stopped RPing because XP for roleplay doesnt scale with level, it doesnt make any sense.

my stupid 10xp for RPing running at lvl1 is'nt worth as much to me at lvl10 cos I need moer XP to get to level11 than I did to get to lvl2, so I just stopped bothering and went looking for some harder mobs.

Maybe you'd get bonus xp from sarcastics quips on actions that stretch suspension of disbelief. Everybody totally appreciates when people include in their RP clever and funny elements that teeter on the fence of IC-OOC separation in innovative ways. Irony is always a great way to make people around you happy.

Have you tried worshipping Tyr? Or chatting up Elminster? That's the easiest way to do that.

I will say this about he running though. The game engine is kind of suck when you are trying to change modes in combat sometimes like turning off detect or parry. Nothing is worse then trying to charge a mob and seeing your pc walk towards it super slowly while it batters down the party scout or wizard. For this reason I usually just leave detect off once I get into a combat situation. Same reason I never play around with the parry thing. It is too hard to move in and out of parry mode in combat when you need to.

a warning to all server marathon runners..
I have placed epic traps randomly around the server. My OOC trumps your OOC w00t!!

PS: I dont care if my traps mess with your immersion, I cant rp anyway, so no one gets to...
