A dark-skinned woman, known around town as Trapper Wind or Wind the Scout has been seen all around town talking to nearly everyone, the postal master, and speaking to the Coster teamsters urgently.

The offer on Dent Jars has been rescinded and letters sent out to the various legal agencies explaining so

From Nashkel to Baldur's Gate, agents of Candlekeep have been seen recruiting experienced adventurers and sell-swords for some unnamed task. They warn the danger is high, but so are the rewards.

Any interested should meet at CK on Monday evening EST (exact time TBD, probably 6-8ish, 23:00-01:00 GMT).

Any chance you could push this back to after 8pm?

In light of all the Character-on-Character drama I've created recently, I'm going to put this off for a bit. I think some other things need to be resolved first or my head is going to explode.

Edit: I'll still run something out of CK if I can get on tonight.

A grim sight a night-gone near the Hall of Wonders, a hulking half-orc armsman carrying the armed and armored body of another wretch who seemed of similar mixed lineage. Spattered with blood, earth, and leaves, the grisly burden was left with the temple's keepers by the bearer. Word says that the unfortunate was somehow temple-sworn, odd to see the fellow laid out in arms and armor by the other brute, as opposed to being rolled into a ditch, bog, or shallow grave. You know those mixbloods, they cannot be trusted.

There has recently been a great deal of discussion in the finer inns and clubs of Baldur's Gate on the subject of the Thayan request to expand their enclave. Apparently the Grand Dukes are divided with Duke Entar Silvershield against, Duchess Liia Jannath for and Dukes Belt and Eltan undecided.

Rumour has it that the easterners are offering to nearly double the percentage given to the Duchy in tax, along with imposing a small tariff for goods imported from outside of the Lords' Alliance in order to sway the remaining Grand Dukes.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

Word is an arrangement of some sort has been settled. A large procession of Thayans was seen touring a building in the noble district of the city, giving orders to lessers.

While still a few various rumors about what exactly is being built and what the funciton of the building is in the East Harbor, most have definately settled to one thing. It quite solidly seems to be a Temple of Tempus. The old shrine statue has even been moved inside. While talk still abounds about it being a tavern or tradehouse of some kind, this is mostly on the side. Many workers now state that simple finishing touches on the interior are being made and the Temple, called the House of the Sharpened Axe, will soon open its doors to pilgrims, worshipers, and warriors.

There was an enormous earth-shattering rumble one morning in the Noble district of the city as a one-proud villa was reduced to rubble. Soon after, a score of workmen guarded by foreign-looking men and overseen by a bizarre lanky man draped in luxurious robes and tattoos were seen amongst the ruins, removing the detritus and stacking large numbers of bricks of freshly-quarried stone.

The well-heeled neighbours have been complaining incessantly to their colleagues of the new invaders and the rumour is that some are planning to petition the Dukes themselves.

Rumor has it that three groups of travellers have been found brutally murdered on the side of the Trade and Lion's Way. Portable wealth was taken, but bulky goods were not. The attacks appeared to be random and there's no leads as to who did them.

Rumor about Nashkel is that a dwarf and elf were hired to look into a frost giant sighting in the mountains. They fled back to town reporting not one, but three of the creatures, with only one being wounded.

Later on, some ragged survivors shuffle into Nashkel, saying three frost giants killed their caravan guard and literally walked off with the wagons!

(( the encounter, and appropriate loot, is spawned ))

The early morn light shone down upon the small post of Nashkell, as the fires were stoked for the morning cooking. The hungry gate gaurds leaned against their pikes, talking amond themselves of this and that, when the small bell sounded at the gate leading to the Cloudpeaks toward Amn. Minutes later, a solitary dwarf slowly strode into the gates, pulling behind him a makeshift sled with three axes on it, each twice the length of a man's height. The dwarf was heard to mutter..."Leht's see ow's laughin nah." He leaves the axes near the gate as a gift to Nashkell, and proceeded to clank heavily in his plate toward the Guardsmens Barracks. Hours later the word goes out that the three giants whom, were plauging the north and whom ambushed a caravan are no more. The dwarf's name echoes in rumors throughout Nashkell, Garlus of Clan Ironbeard.

Announcements are made via postings throughout Baldur's Gate and a few places such as Beregost and the Friendly Arm Inn.

The new Tempus Temple, the House of the Sharpened Axe is now complete and open. It holds a training/sparring area that is open to the public, a tavern for meeting and drinking, a worship area, and a dormatory for Tempite faithful and pilgrims. Currently, it also offers limited services and equipment.

Word spreads, mostly among the city watch, Flaming Fist and Helm and Cloak tavern, that a Selunite priestess in a dress was seen chasing a fully armored (and very battered) Banite priestess out of the inn.

If questioned, the Fist or Helm and Cloak employees say that the Banite accidentally stumbled into the wrong room, and both women thought the other was out to kill them. The watch and Fist appear to be having a great laugh over it, though the employees and various high-society customers of the Cloak are not at all amused.
