For my part I'd say we should think about getting Athkatla only after getting what we have on board. ICly the Cloud Peaks between Athkatla and Nashkel are no walk in the park, so geographical continuity is not that much better with Nashkel-Athkatla-mid Amn than we just have a link from Nashkel to middle of Amn, which is the western edge of the Exodus/Amn world map.

This all sounds like a job for...

...an ALFA Builders Team!

You know what, someone should start a thread suggesting the creation of an organised, pan-ALFA builders t- :static:

So form a team. Gather up interested parties, nominate a leader, and have that leader be your point person to the list of folk to contact already posted.

Nobody will stop you; some people will help you. If you're waiting for someone to create official staff positions for it, I'll make them under tech as soon as there's a group.

I think they belong more under DMA.

Neat stuff. I guess it's kind of like (or exactly like), a server proposal team, except where loads of content actually built, just how to possibly retrofit to "subtly different haks" or other ALFA ways of organizing things would I guess be the challenge. Though it'll need y'know, a leader, volunteers, etc.

Good luck.

Thanks to everyone who's volunteered to help out with the Exodus/Amn conversion project. I've asked Hialmar to create the appropriate forums for this team's work.

There will be issues to be resolved, and a lot of work to bring everything into alignment. Good luck.

Agreed-- it sounds like there's much less interest in generating the hak-level build among those volunteering, so it'd be a superior placement if you're willing to have 'em.

And thanks to Hialmar's speedy efforts, we now have our very own Alpha: ALFA 17 -- Amn forum, with javajutsu and t-ice as the head honchos.

Good show, and thanks everyone for volunteering. I heartily wish you the best of stamina and inspiration to make this happen!

Cheers,

Encouraging and supporting builders and helping those new to the Toolset have long been aims I've pursued. I'll be happy to have the help.
