Looking for Group
Much as the title says-- I'm looking to form a group to meet regularly for whatever things there are to do. Ideally a weekly meeting.
There might be a DM, depending on times and interest and such (I only have a couple maybes, which can pan out in many ways)-- but if we gather and there's no DM, we can hit some static content or do some exploring in more of a party-focused format (with the obvious advantage that you'd be out exploring with Persephone, and can thus safely see much more of the world). Looking for good guys-- or neutrals without wrath-provoking habits. It's a bit meta, yeah, but we save on drama to fess up early.
I'm on U.S. central time, available pretty much any evening.
So, any interest?

Re: Looking for Group
Count me in. Unless I'm in class or out of town, I'm available almost any day, at any time. Yay self-configured schedules.
Re: Looking for Group
If exploration is the game I would think you stand a good chance of impromptu DM interest if nothing else.
I often leave static content about the server which is related to and can advance my plots... Its rarely found, though.
There are some neat Cloudpeaks areas non-scouts might not ever seen without uber aid.
I'm also in the process of adding saner UD connections. Bring a scout.
I am not sure if Team Goody ever attacked the dungeon which's difficulty I designed with them in mind or not, but it might be getting some new inhabitants...
I am certainly not looking to increase my DM workload, but would be remiss not to DM PCs motivated to go vampire-stomping.

Re: Looking for Group
The vamps and lichs are Tristan's. However, if Perse wanted to tag along and see a true healer/undead hunter at work he might take her under his wing.
Question though. Is it an issue of meeting people in game or is more of an issue with scheduling in rl? Or a mixture. Scheduling with toons that can get along with Perse?
I am all about exploring. It is my favorite thing to do but the vast lvl difference would probably be hard to overcome with Tristan.

Re: Looking for Group
Pfft. Pers was killing liches before it was cool. Of course, actually being able to find a phylactery helps!
Scheduling is a little bit of many things. Topping the list, though:
-- If there's no plan to go out and do adventurey stuff, I find that I just end up having in-character conversations. Which is fun and all, but it neglects the adventurey stuff.
-- If there's no scheduled time for me to go out and do stuff, and I don't bump into anyone to talk to (happens often-- Persephone lives pretty far from nearby cities) I often get distracted by some kind of tech work (generally prompting a good duration of relative inactivity)
-- DMs gravitate toward groups that schedule, gather up, and find cause to go out and do things, which tends to make people who are on a sustained plan of ad-hoc stuff (y'know, like me) pretty regularly ignored-- and the overt level caps on some of the events don't much help (I violate every level cap ever put on an ALFA event-- which I suppose is at least somewhat expected, being that I passed up Garlus for absurd pile of phat XPbags months ago).
-- I often avoid groups if I think that interacting with some of the members will prompt CvC. I'd rather just not know any of the details, being that then I don't have to try to pick between in-character integrity and letting people keep their characters, and can cut it down to just responding to the small group consisting of known Sharrans and people who harm Persephone, her home, or her friends (which is a pretty small group). Trick is that, on BG, there's a lot of those "Openly evil" / "Poorly-disguised evil" / "Neutrals who openly support torture" sorts, and it's hard to find a natural gathering where no one is morally objectionable to a sufficiently-perceptive goodie.
-- And that "Gee, I don't know about that vast level difference" thing is a common sentiment. Figured that maybe if I actually told people that I was looking for a group, I might make folk give it another thought.

Re: Looking for Group
I'd probably be pretty interested. Yay, 'venturin'! Generally open availability for the time being with the combination of no life and a broken sleep-schedule.
Remember, the OOC is key. The more you involve it, the better everything is.
Re: Looking for Group
It does sound fun, and I do enjoy Persephone; however, its generally not fun playing the little, lost puppy dog following big, bad Persephone around. Mayhap once I have achieved a few more levels (fat chance) to where a PC might be of use in an adventure I shall join this company!

Re: Looking for Group
I have no life, and thus, am on quite regularly when I am not working. I would totally be up for this, as this is my highest level character ever, and there are some parts of the server I have just not seen and some people I have just never spoken to. Plus, kyr is all about getting her image up, and has venturing with Persephone in the past, so its no huge leap to think she would do so again.
