Odd stuff happening in last week or so. Several of us experiencing multiple lag spikes while on where things are popping around from one place to another. Also the webpage server status widget often is showing BG as orange or red status.

Ok, I set up perfmon, which will hopefully identify what is causing the CPU usage spikes.

Sorry folks, I'm getting the same errors on the server that I was getting over the summer.
Low Disk Space.

The early bets are that it's hackers trying to access the machine remotely and running up gigantic error logs until the machine just bogs down under their weight. I've sent notes to the DMs so hopefully they'll be able to hop into the server and get this sorted out soon.

Hm, might've been my perfmon logs? I meant to check their size, but have been busy with family/holiday stuff, and forgot.

Backing up the VM is taking too long; I need to go to sleep. If anyone wants restart the VM and server tomorrow before I get to it, please do so.

I found lots of bloat everywhere, not just in log files, A lot of the space was taken up by nwserver dumps and temporary module files left over from recent crashes. Its all gone now, and there's an awesome drive-space visualizer called Scanner put on the desktop.

At last reset, apparently some kind of level requirements for gear checkbox must've got flagged... I am almost sure at least that it's a host type setting, hence not posting in bugthread. Maybe someone more knowledgeable though will realize what went astray. Noticed only because one element of PC's kit got "redded out" as no good to wear, which was odd, hah.

Give it a try now. I've unchecked the Item Level Restrictions box.
