I liked SSM's answers to the Zelk questions. A platform could easily be built from those.

Are you willing to do this so I, and possibly others, can get a more rounded perspective on who we may be voting for?
I'd like to think the questions I've answered are a "real" platform. What are you looking for that hasn't been answered or posted in my original sum up? (Not being sarcastic or sharp - just genuinely want to answer your inquiry.)

The biggest issue Admin have faced is getting along with one another. Can you (i) elaborate on how you would approach interactions with the other Admin and (ii) purely for my own safety if you win, let me know if you've ever knifed anyone before?

That seems incredibly loaded and irrelevant, especially considering none of the Admin have the power to 'knife' anybody without a formal recall and those are prone to failure unless something seriously bad has actually taken place...

A: (i) I try to approach as a neutral party, and above all, be friendly. Nothing makes a situation worse than walking in assuming you have the "superior knowledge". Even if the case is true, that kind of attitude can sour mediation before it even begins.

Of course, situations will warrant where firmer hands are required and a less friendly, and more business-like attitude is required. However, it is better to reach that point after starting off on the right foot than park yourself there from the get-go, I find.

Being an ALFA Representative has put me in situations like this a great deal over the years, and I usually come away with people not trying to choke one another afterwards (which is a great way to come away from some of the more hostile situations you encounter.)

(ii) No one that you would know, don't worry. :)

I would like to see you take the time and effort required to put some words on paper that share your thoughts on issues that concern you and your visions and focus for ALFA - platforms have pretty much been a staple of every election I have seen and give a good 'feel' for your take on ALFA's situation.

Right now I have a very good idea of your thoughts on what concerns others such as Zelk: and that is the distinction between answering questions and having a platform.

Best of luck.

A: And there in lies a misconception about the Lead Administrator's position: That job is not to have a particular platform, as it is not the Lead Administrator's job to make proposals. This job is about helping the administrators who do make proposals do so in a organized fashion, aiding them where necessary, and working out disputes between the various administrative offices ALFA has: As a Lead Administrator, I in no way would be there to bring my own personal changes to ALFA.

There is one exception to this, which is the Lead Administrator's ability to propose a change to the ALFA Charter. At this time, I have nothing that I would want to propose in changing it. Should such a thing come up, the proper channels will be followed per the Charter's outline.

Do I have personal opinions on a great deal of how things are going in ALFA? Surely. I am an individual. But these opinions cannot affect someone in this position from doing what is needed for other administrative offices, even if they agree or disagree with a policy being put forward.

I'm not sure if that answers your request for a platform, but it is the best I feel I can offer while sticking to the intention of the Lead Administrative position.

To be honest SSM we have never interacted in game or out so I really didn't know much about you and I still do not have a firm grasp of ALFA's admin duties and responsiblities so I felt your first post was a lazy effort and wanted something from you without the prompts from others.

Your last post changed my mind on that and I got a clearer understanding of where you are coming from and your understanding for the role of LA.

Thanks.

I like the responses, we cannot have LA be a position where dogma trumps compromise and management. I think we need to work on player retention. We have 2300 members on the rolls. Aside from the banned members what do you think about reaching out to all of them. We only need a 5% success rate to add 115 new active members to ALFA. I'd be happy with adding 20, and especially former DMs.

A: I completely for reaching out to old members. Curmudgeon performed a similar method of reaching out by email about three and a half years ago, which is actually what brought me back to the community (and where I have remained since). If I am not mistaken, this idea is currently under way, which is fantastic.
