A large group of Flaming Fist is seen entering Sorcerous Sundries. An hour later they leave with a prisoner in tow, a man some would recognize as Toc of Sword's Edge. He seems to walk with them willingly, his head held low.

In the next few hours, lavish posters are seen being put up around the city, with an almost impossible sum printed on them:
WANTED ALIVE by the Grand Dukes and the esteemed HALBAZZER DRIN of Sorcerous Sundries:

* a sketch follows, depecting the sun elf Fe'in with his customary haughty, thin smirk, though the expression was exaggerated by the artist *

The elf known as Fe'in, for thievery, treachery and treason most vile! Be warned, he has some meager skill in the Art of Wizardry, and a tongue as forked as any serpent's!

For a reward valued ONE THOUSAND DUCAL PLATINUMS!
Below these, another paper, without illustration:
WANTED ALIVE for questioning regarding Fe'in's schemes, the elven-blooded lass Koriasha and her accompice, Aliyeah of Calimshan. For a reward of one hundred golden double eagles each!
(( Notes: No CvC without a DM unless the other party consents to it. Hopefully this won't be a big deal as the above PCs wouldn't be executed or anything, and the reward is relatively small. Also, please consider Sorcerous Sundries closed until we can replace Fe'in. ))

Apparently the less than savoury elements at Baldur's Gate are going at each other again. This time the rumor spreads a bit more widely than the usual circles on the dockside because of the unusual savagery of the act. Rumor is two thugs, one human, one half-orc were found stabbed to death on an alley in the north part of the dock district. This is made somewhat unusual by the savagery of the killings: both men were stabbed, nothing unusual there, but death came by bleeding out after their privates were cut off. Looks like some underworld faction was out to send a message to another.

Someone with some skill in figuring out how to go about it in the "less than savoury circles" (at least 1 skill rank taken in Gather Information, and at least +4 check in the same) can find out more by asking around on the docksides. They would find that recently several mugging victims in he hood where the bodies were found have been not only robbed, but brutalized in what one described as acts of "gleeful violence".

A tall golden haired elf has been noted inquiring in the Blade and Stars (and other locales) about the rumored dragon sighting.

A tourist/treasure-hunting couple that spends their summer honeymoon every year at the Jovial Juggler have not returned from their traditional one night camping outing. A few local friends have been stopping in at the Juggler for the past two days to see if the couple has returned and inquiring about any news of the couple.

*anyone in Beregost in the past few days, might have heard talk at the inns and out on the street as the couple was well liked, and had a good number of local friends.*

((A gather information DC=6 will allow you to learn that the couple had a "secret lucky spot" near Gullykin, where they have sometimes found interesting items over the years))

((I am trying to branch out and try some new DM things, so be warned, and search as your own risk. There is an encounter set, I cannot guarantee the danger level matches the payoff, but I would not go looking alone. If the server gets reset than enough time has past, and the encounter will be gone. If you try it, let me know how it went))

There is much talk in the Blade and Stars of a brawl between two adventurers last night. It seems a large green skinned half orc and a savage looking Northerner went at it with the Northerner getting the best of the orc. Its said that none other but Merrin of the Sword's Edge had to break up the fight to prevent the barbarian from pummeling the orcblood to death.

Some say the orc and the northerner were fighting over an attractive blonde haired lady.

Others say the Northerner started it all. He was an uncouth barbarian who had been shouting and throwing food at the minstrels all night long.

Still others say the orcblood threw a drink in the Northerner's face and got what he deserved.

The truth may never be known.

*rumor is that the bodies of Bevan Tark and Lucreitia Carolouscrown (sp?) were found dead in a shadow attack in the ruins of Tempus's Tears by the Feywarden Daertho. Respects can be paid at the temple of Tymora in Baldur's Gate.*

*also noted, Freck, a patron of the Sword and Stars was delivered into the Song of the Morning after falling afoul of Ogres in an attempt to save some lost farm folk. Daertho also found him and delivered him to the church*

Rumors begin circulating around the region that a rather large number of ogre corpses are turning up in recent days throughout the Sword Coast, especially concentrated around the Wood of Sharp Teeth and nearby areas. It seems someone or something has been systematically massacring the creatures in violent fashion, nearly all of the corpses being found with their throats cleanly torn out by what may be a sharp, slashing weapon.

Rumors in Baldurs Gate circulate that a strange gnome was seen hauling a massive load of mushrooms through the city streets with a wolf closely on heal. Some claim to have seen the wolf pulling a sled loaded with this mushroom payload but others claim there is not truth to this and the gnome simply carried them in a sack slung over his shoulder.

Ulgoths beard is buzzing with activity as its residents are meeting on the street, in the travern, and in the town hall to discuss and debate the apparent attack on the Banite keep very near to their town. The word has spread to the BG area, and mercenaries, scholars, adventurers, soldiers, nobles and all sort of rumor monger talk about what, by some of the reports from the town, could have been a demon or a devil that attacked the Banites at their own keep.

One of the biggest discussions is focused around the rumor that Shandalar the wizard was seen flying; apparently chasing the demon through the sky over the forest to the south-south east of Ulgoth's Beard.

Reports of the number of Banites killed range from 5-30.
